“A little history of San Bernardino County Fire Station 22. I was the PCF Fire Captain Administrator towards the start of Station 22 in 1984 for thirteen years. They started out at the SVL Maintenance Building with an old flat bed Foresty engine. It got into an accident, then went to the Ford VanPelt. Later they moved the station to Victor Valley College, the old aviation building, then to the fish hatchery. I retired in 1998 from Edwards AFB, CA and moved out of CA. In closed is a few pictures of the old Ford VanPelt. Hope you enjoy the pictures.”

“Our stay at the Goldmine Lodge was lovely and so much more than expected. We were offered an upgrade to a 2 room suite which included a kitchen area, rustic living room with wood burning open fireplace and separate bedroom with 2 comfortable double beds. The furnishings and design accessories were cozy and charming. It was all very clean. The shower was nice and hot! The garden was a good place to watch birds (why we were in Big Bear) and equipped with barbecue grills. The location on Moonridge Rd. was lovely and near the ski area. It was a short drive to good restaurants, gas and our bird watching.”

I love the fact that the building is only for 6 cabins so it is more private and you get to have your own parking spot already (1 car only) . Truly they care about not only there customers but there Dignity just for people in general is is absolutely awesome. “Trained here for about 3 weeks. Loved my time here! The BJJ instructors are FANTASTIC; highly effective, clear communicators. The mat is pretty large and seamless which is nice (most places have many small mats placed side-by-side, with tons of sweat/dirt/hair/gunk visible between the mats). Good focus on safety, as well as BJJ for both self-defense and sport. Gi and no-gi classes offered. Prices are reasonable and within the ballpark for the area. My only complaints are that the parking lot is too small, and there aren't any weekend classes (Saturday open mat available). Otherwise, this spot is EXCELLENT!”
