“I've been using PureMetta products for over a year and absolutely love the products! The vape pens are excellent to use for smoking cessation, it gives you the feeling of smoking w/out the nicotine and you can satisfy your urge to hold cig and exhale smoke. I've also used the lotion on aches and pains. Very nice formula, smells great and works fast. Here recently I've started to take the CBD capsules for a consistent dosage of CBD to provide total cellular support during these Covid times. Give it a try, you won't regret it. SteveO”

“I called the Carlsbad building department on a question about what constitutes a true bedroom. The switchboard person was very helpful, Laura in Planning tried to help and then sent me over to the head of the building department, Jason. He was not only helpful and nice but also very engaging with all relevant information. 5 stars and would give them 10 considering we are in a Covid restriction and most city offices are minimally staffed. Thank you again, Tom Franco (broker/realtor) Franco Realty Group.”

“a) The City water main connection staff visit early 2021 helped me identify specific exterior plumbing issues that were causing outside and interior problems. Jones Valve and exterior regulators working reliably and new piping to ensure no hidden water leaking/loss a must. A local plumbing company diligently put solutions in place. What a difference. b) Carlsbad is one-of- a- kind quality because strict local rules and measures are in place to prevent problems. If only there was a state regulation requiring Sellers (and Landlords ) to disclose dates and receipts of heating vent inspections; ensure no abandoned heating or AC systems on property, and legal refrigerants are factually in AC system. c) Our local police department is doing an exceptional job of diligently helping our townhome property identify and have towed abandoned and/or unregistered vehicles etc. This is so huge to help keep us safe and our neighborhood safe. Stolen cars, parts, license plates and whatever else matters---even if appears insignificant. d) I am thankful Carlsbad is my permanent home. Peace of mind matters. But, there is one thing I have for the last three years increasingly wondered about---in just plain observing. There should be a main phone number where one can report on a voicemail--specific locations of continuous volumes of water loss due to broken irrigation sprinklers on private residential or corporate properties. Owners or managers don't notice it. Cameras don't pick up something like that. Gorgeous properties, well maintained including removal of fire fuel materials surround us. This is more of an idea or comment. It takes time for owners to notice this unintentional irrigation issue. I think people would be happy to learn their system has a easy to fix problem and would timely doing it--saving, conserving water. e) I could not be more grateful Carlsbad is my home.”

“Police officers go home, thinking they saw the worst case in their career; then there is an unfathomable one of another type. I am an every day Carlsbad resident. Life experience: I can factually say the people at Carlsbad Police Department are ultimately one of a kind. Also, the entire North County law enforcement works together well— in ways not routinely seen throughout California. Understaffing, funding, inconsistent management increasingly have impacted other communities in our state. It matters when police professionals prove they can competently handle or prevent the variety of today's type of situations. It hasn't been multiple magical wands at work: but years, decades of outstanding leadership and commitment at the top and from the top and throughout to create a dept like CPD. To me, it appears, Carlsbad tax money for decades has always been invested wisely to the highest caliber. CPD reflects best practices in place: quality of who is hired; the requirement to keep up on specializations and in-depth training, and the specific priority focus on funding/finances all adds up. Visually seeing the police around us not only means we are protected, but, also that he/she officer loves what they do or else would not be doing it. Not everyone is the same. Not everyone has had the same or similar experiences in life. But, one thing is a certainty: policing never has been an easy job. Here in Carlsbad, we are surrounded by the best in a highest caliber of community in each department. I feel infinitely blessed by the results of decisions and actions of others over the decades by this city government. The residents and citizens knew precisely what they wanted and made sure to help materialize it. Safety and the quality of any public safety department is not something to be taken for granted. The positive and the good surmounts for the benefit of each of us. It makes a priceless difference.”
