“This Motel 6 is by far the best Motel 6 across the country. I travel for work. I have to say what I have noticed across the chain across the country is that it starts with management. I have noticed that when management cares, the staff will care. The staff will always take on the attitude of the management. Management at Motel 6 Carlsbad Beach, Lupe is the best! She is kind, compassionate, and very accommodating. The staff is very kind, and accommodating. It is interesting to see the Motel 6’s across the country and how their motels are operated. It all makes sense once you meet management. In the business world this concept proves true. It all begins with leadership. Thank you Lupe for leading your team in the right direction. More Motel 6 says need to take the approach that you do. Leading by example.”

“I loved the room. I was expecting much less of a room for the price I paid through hotwire and the room exceeded my expectations. I thought I was getting a regular 2 bed room and walked in to what seemed like a modern miniature apartment with a full kitchen and all. Great breakfast too. I will definitely go back.”

“Hotel is decent. Breakfast included with basic fruits, eggs and sausages, waffles. 14 min. Drive to Legoland and other Carlsbad attractions. The only big concern is that hotel is next to highway and gets pretty noisy at night. Otherwise it's a good place.”

“We loved our vacation there. Although we had a couple of issues while there, things were addressed by management for the most part and nothing that transpired was severe enough to stop our enjoyment. The room was very nice and property was recently renovated, so everything is very new. My main quibble is the laundry area, which I actually wished was even close to equal to the rest of the facilities. Great location and the people were good, so we definitely will go back.”

“I stay at this Motel 6 when I am in Carlsbad. Sarah has always given great service at the check in desk. She handles any issues that may arise quickly and professionally. I always feel welcomed when I need something like my Key to be reprogrammed. I have stayed at many other motels in the area and this is my favorite by far. It is clean and safe. All the staff is friendly and accommodating.”

“Pros: hotel decor, room decor, playground and ft & half pool are awesome, kids loved treasure hunt. Lots of little events. Def worth staying footsteps from entrance. Staff is great. King bed for parents is great. Cons: room has thin walls, in-house restaurant is sub par, I was hoping to want to eat there again but never wanted to. Kids bunk bed room is tiny. Bed under bunk bed isn't worth it as my kids woke up cold from it. 3 kids and 1 of the treasure hunt gifts was a magazine?? No hotel unique legos Would come again, the kids loved it.”

“Overall, a great family trip. 3 year old son, 14 year old step daughter, and my wife and I all had fun. The rides ranged the lower to middle range on the intensity scale, with only 2 rides or so on the higher end. Wait times were variable, but was possible to find rides with lower waits farther from the entrance. Parking costs $25, and you will have the opportunity to buy photos from all the rides before you leave. This was done using a wristband that tracks what photos you liked from each ride. $15 is the cheapest photo package. Food options were a bit repetitive but very kid friendly. Lots of burgers and hot dogs. There is a nice deli with salads and sandwiches that has more healthy fare, for adults and kids. Biggest gripe was the men's bathrooms. In this day and age, it's become pretty standard to have partitions between urinals. I think that would be a nice upgrade. Definitely glad we came.”

“Loved this hotel. So clean, so well appointed, so close to the beach! We loved the pool, the ping pong table, and that they loaned us beach going equipment for the day. The daily free breakfast was always delicious. We had a lovely stay and will be back!”
