“Got a strawberry 🍓 crepe and my wife a Florentine crepe. She thought spinach would make it healthy, but they didn't hold back on the cheeses, yummy goodness! We also had lattes, hot and steamy. Only 2 tables so seating may be an issue.”

“Absolutely loved it. I had the Shrimp Aurora and my fiance had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and shrimp. As we ate we both kept commenting on how good it was. Wish we could eat here everyday. Also, very clean. Staff took our temperature and were very polite and professional.”

“Excellent quality stock, easy pickup, responsive service. Literally under-promise, over-deliver, as when they accidentally packed extra items in my order, they didn't charge me for them. Be warned, items like uni are more popular on weekends, so it's wise to order ahead.”

“This place, in the heart of a tourist destination, provides surprisingly hearty and tasty food on a reasonable price. From the looks of this place, Chowder Hut screams "rip off". Probably greasy food, tasteless chowder, all living off of the ignorance of tourists. I had passed by this place on multiple occasions and never really entered. Last weekend, my family was coming back from a walk in the pier, and we were all so tired and famished. We just walked into Chowder Hut because there were empty seats. Place was decently clean, and the glass walls did a good job of blocking the winds. Upon walking up to order food, price seemed to be decent - yes, expensive on a global scale but reasonable for a tourist epicenter. The food comes out from the side with your number called, and boy were we in for a surprise. Everything was freshly cooked, and accompanied with wonderful fries. Clam chowder was thick and appropriately creamy, the crab melt was delicious with "real" crab meat, chicken tenders were great for the kids, all with plentiful local beer. The amazing weather also added to the atmosphere. Overall, we were full and happy and definitely enjoyed our experience. Perhaps it wouldn't have been this nice had the weather been naughty or the winds frigid but it was just perfect for a late lunch on a beautiful spring day.”

“We visited both bakery cafes on Pier 39 and the one on Jefferson Street. The latter one is the nicer one with the bistro upstairs and museum. The museum is very nice and definitely worth a visit. As far as the food is concerned: Loved the bread and chowder in a bowl. Btw, food is pretty much the same in both places”

“We come here almost annually on Christmas day, as they are open and we are in the area. It's very packed that day so expect a wait in line. Otherwise, clean, fun atmosphere and wait staff are friendly and helpful. Great views from the restaurant. That said, it took FOREVER to get out food. Other than that it was a pleasant lunch.”

“Nice spot to find on Pier 39. A nice sit down bar, with a lot of visual items to look at. You can get a flight of local SF beers on tap, super nice bartender. They have a menu here, we got a loaf of bread and butter just to hold us over. I really like this place, if you plan on a Pier 39 day, lunch here can break up the day. Job well done!”

“Really good burger in a hip clean restaurant that's very spacious. Very friendly staff with a pretty good selection of grub and brew. Very new so looking forward to seeing it evolve. Will definitely be a hit. Prices are a bit steep but it's the Fisherman's Wharf so not surprising. The fries are great! They were a little light on the added blue cheese though. I'll definitely be back.”
