Empero Taste

Address: 4052 Balboa St, San Francisco, CA 94121, USA

“Traditional american Chinese restaurant from the old days. Cantonese from years ago. Large portions if you are into it. All pretty tasty. Best if you can eat family style. Kinda tough if you come here alone.”

Gai Chicken Rice

Address: 3463 16th St, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA

Restaurant

“Was looking for a quick bite to eat near my new apartment ..ran into the sign … decided to try them out…. I stood at the counter for a few before being acknowledged (but there wasn’t any other customers in line). The greeting wasn’t the friendliest, I attempted to give smiles & convo asking if they sold Cafè Du Monde Beignets… since the coffee had such a massive display. She was clueless even after I pointed out the coffee. I went on to state it’s my 1st time visiting and I’m new to SF to help her improve to no avail. I informed her that I thought the Basil chicken or The Gai Sansho sandwich looked interesting; which did she recommend? She stated I should try the chicken sandwich. I looked at the picture confirmed what came with it (seasoned waffle fries, a can drink, & a choice of sauce). I didn’t see the sauce choice listed only pictured. I asked the cashier what are the choices as if I didn’t just tell her it’s my FIRST TIME VISITING… she mentioned two as if she didn’t know herself what the choices of sauce are. I went with Spicy Mayo & Sweet Chili! Cashier gave me my receipt & informed me of my order number. I waited on my food and observed the atmosphere & took pictures … location is in the thick of the city (construction near by, neighborhood Fentanyl friendly, and shoppers, but once inside it’s quiet, relaxing, & a little opportunity to shut off the city. Cashier calls my number & I take my food to go ((she’s still dry & not engaging…no thank you come again, welcome to the neighborhood…nothing) I paid cash of $15 . Got back to my apartment, opened my food: Great portions, nice presentation, & fresh ingredients!! I picked up this massive sandwich & applied the spicy Mayo to a bite and it was delicious but the perfect partner for the slaw, pickles, bun, and seasoning on the chicken is the sweet Thai chili …. Ohhhhhh myyyyy word….. do yourself a favor & go try this sandwich combo … the marriage with the seasoned waffle fries leaves nothing but joy in your mouth!! You will not be disappointed… I’m going again today to get another sandwich! 😍🙃🤤 the sandwich is 5 star for sure!! The service needs improvement.”

“Food was decent, service was good, and it’s the same as any other restaurant in the area. Rice and plantaos was good. Parking is limited and you need to pay on the street.”

Taqueria La Iguana Azul

Address: 928 Geneva Ave #3403, San Francisco, CA 94112, USA

Restaurant

“Got three different types of tacos. Chorizo was probably the best with asada coming in second. Unfortunately the al pastor meat was bland in flavor. The salsas on the other hand were delicious and very flavorful. It was okay, but there are cheaper and better options around.”

KFC

Address: 4285 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94112, USA

Restaurant

“I come here once a week for lunch, as I work in the area. This place is always clean (except the bathroom), the staff are always polite and friendly, and the food is always hot. Even the kid at the register is always professional and polite. I believe in not just complaining but telling folks when they are doing great, and the people here are doing their jobs very well!”

Archimedes Banya

Address: 748 Innes Ave, San Francisco, CA 94124, USA

Meal takeaway Gym Restaurant Spa Health

“Came in on a Monday right at noon when they opened. You get a bracelet w locker number, two freshly laundered towels, a robe and flip-flops. The establishment is on three different floors but all the saunas and plunges are on the first floor, place is super clean and everyone was very respectful except maybe one or two older men that bluntly were staring at women, clothing is optional. By 1:30pm there were more people but not so crowded that you could not enjoy the establishment. Second floor has a small patio, TV room and a restaurant. The third floor is a larger area w lounge chairs and stunning views of San Francisco. The entire experience was wonderful and just so relaxing. Easy street parking”

Red A Dim Sum

Address: 634 Clement St, San Francisco, CA 94118, United States

Restaurant

Abrazo

Address: 2000 Hyde St, San Francisco, CA 94109, USA

Restaurant

“Cool Spanish joint in Russian Hill. A very tasty tapas spot with an even better drink menu. To start off, they had a beautiful meat and cheese board. The garlic shrimp probably the best item they have, was heavenly. The oysters were very fresh and of good quality. They had some delicious desserts as well. I always go with a flan if they have it. I do wish the octopus was a bit better, it let a lot left to be desired. The service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Abrazo is also a perfect spot for an intimate date, a family gathering or a special occasion. Dos shrimps up 🍤🍤”

Dumpling Time

Address: 191 Warriors Way Suite 101, San Francisco, CA 94158, USA

Restaurant

“Not the authentic Chinese dumplings. But the food quality is very good. Service is super and environment is very nice. It is in the Chase center so you can enjoy the show from the outside stage when you eat your food there.”

Oasis Cafe

Address: 901 Divisadero St, San Francisco, CA 94115, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“It was amazing! We ordered a vegetarian combo that came with injera. It was scrumptious. It came with 5 sides and every single one of them was yum. The food portion is big and it can be easily shared by two people. The food felt light and filling. Every item on the vegetarian combo was freshly made. But I guess the starter we ordered was a frozen item which was refried. It tasted well but it was a bit dry. I am not a fan of frozen and reheated items. Nevertheless, I stick with 5 stars because their food was very tasty overall and the staff was kind too. You have good vegetarian and non-vegetarian options here.”

Kung Food

Pampa BBQ

Address: 103 Horne Ave, San Francisco, CA 94124, USA

Restaurant

“Pampas delivered once again! Pampas catered a fabulous graduation event for us 5 years ago and when the next graduation rolled around we knew who to call. I still can't believe they can make such eye-popping event happen in our smallish backyard. Francisco and Alejandra were a delight to work worth, the cooks were great and food unbelievably good - and so much! Every detail was attended to including to-go boxes for all the extras for all the young adults present. Thank you so much for once again providing a yummy and fun and memorable event.”

Jasmine Garden

Address: 708 14th St, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA

Restaurant

“Jasmine Garden is a real neighborhood discovery of food, friendly service, and comfortable atmosphere. One of our Vietnamese friends suggested that we try his favorite spot, and we happily let him pick his favorites from the menu. Wow! Good choice. I think the concensus favorite was the chicken clay pot dish, but the Vietnamese Crepe Banh Xeo was also spectacular. But, picking just those two dishes slights the excellent spring rolls and other dishes that we shared family style. Yes, the food is cooked perfectly. However the standout taste memory is the spices. They were present and active, but never the sole focus of a dish. All of this comes with a friendly, humorous staff and a low-key neighborhood dining space. I give this a strong recommendation and also suggest eating there and not ordering door dash or even take-away. Enjoy eating in a place that feels low-key but slightly different!”

Wawona Gates Outdoor Dining with Full Bar (United Irish Cultural Center)

Address: Parking lot, 2700 45th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94116, USA

“I come here once a week with friends. It is fun, clean and well managed. The staff are volunteers who are cheerful and very accommodating. It's very well sanitized and Covid safe. The food and drinks are delicious. I've been to restaurants for outdoor dining but none have come close to the positive experience I have here and in the best neighborhood in San Francisco.”

Colibri Mexican Bistro

Address: 50 Moraga Ave, San Francisco, CA 94129, USA

Restaurant

“This place is consistently delicious! It is pricey but worth it! I love the outdoor seating area. The indoor area has the cutest decor! The Margaritas are strong and a tad sweet. Guacamole was delicious and large portion! A few gluten and dairy free options. I came here for drinks once and this time for Brunch.. I was not disappointed! I can’t wait to go back for another date night! Dog friendly! Staff are attentive and friendly as well. Tons of parking ($3 to park/hr.).”

Woodhouse Fish Co.

Address: 2073 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA

Restaurant

“A last min spot after the Annual Pride Parade . I ordered the clam chowder and the Cioppino. Both are absolutely delicious. My friends had fish and chips, and the stuffed artichoke. I loved how attentive and patient the servers were. They made sure we had water and the food was to our liking. Prices are moderate, and spacing is smaller than expected but still good. I will definitely return. In fact, I look forward to it!”

Bernal Star

Address: 410 Cortland Ave, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA

Restaurant

“I had brunch on the patio between the two buildings. Both my friend and I brought our dogs, as did other diners. The clientele was diverse and friendly. I had chicken enchiladas and soft poached eggs. It was perfect and not too pricey. My friend's French toast looked really good, too. We shared a side of roasted potatoes - simply prepared and delicious. Parking is tricky, but of course.”

Vega

Address: 419 Cortland Ave, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA

Restaurant

“I have been coming to this restaurant since I 1st moved to SF 2019 and it is now our favorite place to go in SF on a date night! Everything there is great here, but I want to start with what I think makes this place one of the top spots in SF! I go here to see familiar and always smiling faces after a long day at work, after a flight or when I want to taste food like the one my Nonna used to cook! TY Vega for being so kind and making this place homey! Now the food.. Antipasto: I always get the Carciofini Ripieni and it comes with an amazing salad to start things going, their minestrone and octopus is great too! Primi Piatti: My favorite dishes are the Gnocchi Alla Boscaiola, the Carbonara, Fettuccine Al Ragu Di Cinghiale, and the Capellini Al Granchio.. although.. they always have an amazing special dish for us to try! Specials: If I had a wand, I would add the involtinis to the menu ohhhh woooow.. I had to order it a second time to take home! Its so hard to find involtinis not made with tomato sauce! I also love that they usually have a mushroom pasta dish in this menu and most days I go for it! Wine: I just let them recommend one and I have never been disappointed (yet) :) Dessert: Yes.. their tiramisu, and all deserts are great but.. we were surprised by their sorbetto! You can tell it was made with fresh berries and it was nice and light! Overall: You can tell that this restaurant cares about their people and the food, real Florentine authenticity, with a family dinner atmosphere! Their bread is from a local business nearby and their olive oil selection is always perfect! Looking forward to coming again and again!”

Oye Managua

Address: 3385 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA

Restaurant

“Food well prepared and portions, the pork was a bit dry but the meat was spot on!”

Breakfast Little

Address: 3275 22nd St, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. Love the Tia Maria with two green sauces on the side. I prefer to eat the breakfast burritos here immediately after they made at the restaurant. One of the best parts of this burrito IMO are the crispy tater tots inside and they tend to get soggy if I wait to eat the burrito at home. They can also veganize these burritos if you need (no eggs, butter or cheese).”

Nande-Ya

Address: 1737 Post St, San Francisco, CA 94115, USA

Restaurant

“Went to get some lunch during the weekend. We got seated aright away, the staff was friendly and really attentive. The food was delicious and good portion. I think this is one of my top places to go to because the taste of the donburis and takoyakis is really similar to the ones in Japan. Ordered some takoyakis, chirashi donburis, tuna poki, the ramen lunch meal and hot sake. It was all delicious!”

Little Joe's Pizza

Address: 5006 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94112, USA

Meal delivery Restaurant

“Pizza crust here is spot on, they have great lunch deals for $4 for a slice of the daily special. The salad is huge, I only ate half with my two slices of pizza and was super full. Food comes out quickly, service is nice. Also had a market for wine and other necessities! Definitely worth it to come check it out!”

CHALOS

Address: 2240 Taraval St, San Francisco, CA 94116, USA

Restaurant Cafe

“Delicious! I really loved this place! The staff was super friendly and helpful! The owner is from Argentina (and played rugby!) The empanadas were well prepared and super flavorful! Chalos offers them both baked or fried! And a great overall vibe in San Francisco's Sunset District! A bit off the beaten path BUT well worth the visit!”

Crossroad Pizzeria

Address: 1596 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94102, USA

Restaurant

“We went here on a whim while making our way back to the Oakland Airport. The pizza was delicious and had the best crust. The wings are tender and full of flavor. Their pasta was simple but very tasty. Would recommend if you are in the area. The service here was great too.”

Lorenzo's Pizzeria

Creighton's American Bakery

Address: 673 Portola Dr, San Francisco, CA 94127, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant Store

“A good sandwiches under $10, where else you can get right now under high living cost in Bay Area. The sandwich is good taste, a standard one with Mayonnaise, Mustard, onion, tomato and pickles. It’s convenient for a good lunch. There are supermarkets next door that you can buy drinks. This is a good neighborhood and people are nice. The bakery looks good.”

Sophie's Crepes

Address: 1581 Webster St #275, San Francisco, CA 94115, USA

Restaurant Store

“I ordered a single scoop of black sesame ice cream Pros: The ice cream was super thick and creamy. Satisfying Black sesame flavor was there There really isn’t much for me to say for ice cream Neutral: Worker was ok Cons: Ice cream cup sizes only come in large and small Only one scoop for small and 2 for large Would have liked to try/sample some of the other flavors, but didn’t want to eat too much ice cream”

Sanguchon Eatery

Address: 1182 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA

Restaurant

“Came here with a friend and thank goodness for a 10% discount from Yelp! Even better reason to come. Good: - Solid food! I loved the lomo sandwich - great portion size - almost too much but I finished all of it and got the sweet potato fries to sub which made the sandwich taste even better! - Good ambiance - easy to hear people and have a conversation Bad: - Pretty causal place - no service really self serve Overall really good place to catchup with a friend - they have outlets which makes things more convenient as well!”

Taproot Eatery

Address: 409 Illinois St, San Francisco, CA 94158, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Great lunch spot with nice ambiance. Enjoyed a cubano sandwich that was quite tasty. Side of beet & goat cheese salad, also good. They have a nice selection of wine. Equator coffee is sold here. Some local provisions such as jam & honey they also sell. I would come back.”
