“Fantastic impressive space to house this huge and important collection. The building is beautiful from the outside and inside with large display rooms and common areas. The special exhibits have a wide variety of styles. In general, the museum includes pieces both old and new.”

“Linda and I share a mutual love of art and we often find ourselves talking about it at length. I love touring museums with Linda because the conversation never stops. Our time in the museum together gives each of us a chance to share the things we like (or don’t) and in the always lively process increase each other’s art awareness. The last show I took in with Linda was the Legion of Honor’s British Works on Paper 1760-1900 where we saw some of the very landscapes I remembered from my childhood years in England. I love that Linda is organized and sensitive to people’s viewing wishes and that she can take them with brio right to the art that will stir them.”

“This is my favorite local bar. All the bartender's are super friendly and make a mean cocktail! The space is intimate with nice mood lighting, good music and good people (patrons included). Has a real neighborhood feeling about it as opposed to the Bro nightlife bars around it. You guys are a true beacon of hope on Divis 🙌”

“This is not a fancy place, but is a lot of fun none the less. Pinball and other games tucked away in the heart of this tourist area. It's a good way to spend an hour or so away from the crowds. It's nostalgic for those who remember games you inserted a coin to play. For the younger ones, it can be an exotic experience playing "antiques" that they only heard of or have seen in old movies ????”

“Absolutely peaceful walking in and out of the rooms. Beautiful collection of paintings and sculpture, with a very friendly staff and reasonable entry prices. I purchased the membership which was only about $100 (also includes entry for one other person and acts as a membership for the De Young museum as well). Highly recommend for the art lover in your life.”

“A rare view: the famous liberty-ship. And in very good condition thanks to motivated and passionate volunteers. Enjoyed very much the self-guide tour, which gives you sufficient information about the ship. More details can be found in the museum area. Very interestingly done! One gets a good idea of life at sea on board such a ship. For me a must visit when in San Francisco.”

“I really enjoyed this mini museum & loved reading Steefenie Wick’s story about The Navy Band from Treasure Island. The interior murals were great and there was even an artist painting while I was there. It was peaceful, serene and beautiful - a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. And on the clear day I was there with the sun radiating down on me as I looked across the bay, I took a deep breath internalizing just how fortunate I am to be here in Northern California with this view.”

“Great selection of Chicano Movement works however there isn’t much else. It is a little bit out of the way but still recommended. Go on Sunday and check out the farmer’s market beforehand. Can’t wait until they get moved into their new location downtown.”

“Great atmosphere. This place is a coffee meets bar fusion. The decor is very nice. They got this moving artwork behind the bar that is ridiculously captivating. The mix drinks are made very well. Wanted to try most of them.”

“This museum is unlike others. In stead of solely walking and appreciating masterpieces, the activities inside are arranged in a way of workshop. Of course, they require your participation and you eventually get fun. They are focused on sciences and let you have an experiment or play a game. Some natural facts which you may never know them will intrigue you. One more suggestion for people who have kids, if you want them to love sciences, bring them here. Many workshops will build your kids’ curiosity which is a key of success in the future.”

“Open to the public and free! To teach it, walk past the exploratorium and start walking up the pier, you will pass the Embassy of Switzerland on your left side. Keep walking to the waterfront and the entrance will be on your right side, with signs posted. Enter the building and go up the the second floor for many exhibits about geology, tides, Bay Area demographics, seismology, a radar of all current boat traffic in the bay, etc etc. Lots to explore!”

“The Presidio Officer’s Club is a nice building rich in history (few people working there have any clue) and it has a little Mexican restaurant. I recommend participating in one of the San Francisco City Guides tours if you’re interested in learning more about the Presidio. The tours are free and depending on the guide you get, they are great.”
