“I am the Great Granddaughter of William A Beeman, who was the lighthouse keeper in the late 1800s on the Farallon Island He and his wife, Whilimena Beeman, were very special people in our lives. I know all about their son, Royal, whom they had to row a small boat to San Francisco in hopes of saving his life. Their daughter Virginia was my grandmother, who also lived on the island as a little girl. I always heard wonderful story's about her childhood.”

Good police presence in the area also the staff downstairs is very friendly and the continental breakfast in the 2nd floor was good and better then i expected for a small space…will most def be staying here again next time I’m in the bay….i 100% recommend it and the beds were very comfy also!”

“I’ve been going to Advanced Wellness (AW) for the last 3 years. I’ve had several of my friends join and we all love it! I love it for a number of reasons. Before going to AW, I was intimidated going to a gym. My family signed up for a gym membership when I was a kid and that gym was acquired by 24hour. I have a $30/year membership but I rarely use it. On the rare occasions when I went to 24hour, I would wander from machine to machine not getting much out of it. Or I would struggle on the bench press by myself. Leo and Robbi have built a completely different experience. They started by building community at AW where everyone working out in a time slot knows each other’s name. The staff push you to reach your potential but in a fun way. They make sure your technique is correct before encouraging you to push it to the next level. Leo and Robbi are so knowledgeable with body movement and mechanics and they pass this knowledge down to their staff. The staff keep a smile on your face during the workout. The workouts are varied and challenging but you can choose how much you want to push yourself. I started out using a large band to assist with my pull-ups three years ago. Now I can do pull-up’s with a 45lb weight hanging from my waist! I’ve seen the workouts translate to my life in many ways. I’ve protected a lower back issue by strengthening my core and legs. I have much better posture. I’m a much stronger skier (I’m skiing like I did in the 90’s when I lived in Vail and skied 90 days a year). I took the confidence and strength gained at AW and used it to swim Alcatraz without being a very good swimmer ;-) Come check it out. Highly recommended.”

“This place is consistently delicious! It is pricey but worth it! I love the outdoor seating area. The indoor area has the cutest decor! The Margaritas are strong and a tad sweet. Guacamole was delicious and large portion! A few gluten and dairy free options. I came here for drinks once and this time for Brunch.. I was not disappointed! I can’t wait to go back for another date night! Dog friendly! Staff are attentive and friendly as well. Tons of parking ($3 to park/hr.).”
