“Whoever gave this place a 1 start is completely wrong. I’ve come here at least once a week and the food in amazing. Pricy but the taste is totally worth it! The spicy pork specifically is always super tasty and juicy. The salad has a sweet/citrus dressing that works so well with the meat. The rice does have a different consistency but definitely not clay like. It’s still very good. Would highly recommend for anyone in the area.”

“What a hidden gem! Solid American-Mexican food served in a homey setting that slightly feels like a 70s diner. Really friendly service and the portions are generous! I loved the grilled sea bass plate and the taco salad, which was lightly dressed even without me having to ask! There were plenty of folks there but we were seated right away at 12:30pm on a Friday. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available!”

“The place is fine. A small eatery without much of ambience there. The servers aren't quite trained and their English and communication is just passable. The mex veg uttapam was slightly undone. They give a small amount of chutney and when asked for more they give another tiny amount. I felt that Madras cafe wins in this regard. The filter coffee was good but not strong. They add a service tax already but that is not obvious when they show you just the final bill amount. I feel that I paid tip for no reason then.”

“Flea Street is a local jewel for Menlo Park and Atherton. Fresh ingredients put together with minimal pretense. It is honest cooking at its best in a cozy, homely, yet classy atmosphere. Everything here might taste a bit bland to the numbed taste buds. But when you start cleansing and resetting your palettes, you start to really appreciate the mix of ingredients that come through. The salad was honest, the avocado toast was hearty, the salmon tartar wholesome. The mushroom risotto was majestic yet down to earth, and the Pacific Catch of the month was perfectly balanced. Don't go to Flea Street for a fancy meal. Go here to genuinely enjoy the company of those across the table, have a great conversation and time, and savor the love that has put into the cooking.”

“Menlo Tavern is a great location for a bit fancier of meals and ambiance close to Stanford Campus. The staff was all amazing and very friendly and the courses were very very tasty. Our server was very knowledgeable about each dish and the many questions we asked about where things were from, what was in different dishes, or recommendations to try. I'd be interested to try a sampler plate if they ever create one as there were many different options on the menu that seemed interesting to try. I do not normally give out a five star review, but the staff and food were amazing and deserved all five stars. If I were to look for an area of constructive feedback, the menu was confusing in use of periods versus commas, but did not detract heavily from the overall experience.”

“Natalie is truly fantastic! I had not gone for a hair cut for over a year because of the pandemic and it was starting to show. I decided to go to her for hair cut, color, and treatment. My mom also got her hair cut with her. We both felt safe since her station in the salon is next to a large window that she kept open to ensure good ventilation for safety, and we all wore masks the whole time. Natalie was very meticulous, making sure to understand what type of hair style we wanted and what type of color I wanted. She spent a lot of time thinking carefully about how to color my hair and choosing the right products since I had used henna a while ago, while making sure I knew there was a chance that the hair color might not work because of the henna. Both my mom and I love the results and the hair color turned out beautifully. Natalie is very dedicated towards ensuring that her clients are truly happy with how their hair turns out. She was also kind enough to teach me different ways of braiding my hair efficiently in the morning before work. She has a great work ethic, and I trust no one else with my hair. I highly recommend her!”
