“This is my favorite clothing store at Stanford Shopping Center. The environmental mission to create sustainable clothing that's made in San Francisco is what made me try it. Bonus, the clothing is *so* reasonably priced compared to other stores at Stanford. It's my feel good place to buy clothing that washes well, wears well, is local and good for the Earth.”

“I worked at the San Francisco store (now defunct) throughout my first few years in San Francisco (2006-2009). I had previously worked in customer service but never in a retail position. I learned from the ground up how a small business was run, as Marilyn the owner had started back in the 80s. We assisted customers, checked in and priced merchandise, took inventory, etc.”

“My family and I had a great experience at the BHLDN in Palo Alto last week. I had Alex helping me try on the different wedding dresses. She really quickly understood my style and was able to pull dresses I never thought of to try on. She also understood my venue and encouraged me to avoid certain styles (my venue is outside in the redwood trees and she suggested no tule to avoid branches/pine needles getting caught in the train). She also was a wonderful voice, hyping me up for the dresses that looked really nice on me. As well as quickly suggesting we move on when she could tell I didn't like a dress. I also tried on a variety of accessories. While I didn't pick THE dress, we did narrow it down to my top three. And, I did land on a veil!”

“An oasis of luxe basics at reasonable prices. I've been familiar with Velvet for a while through purchasing their stuff at Bloomingdale's, but considering how dreadful service there has been - at ALL their stores in NorCal, which is astonishing to me - i'm glad that Velvet set up shop at Stanford. It definitely beats hoofing it to the Fillmore. On a weekday morning during COVID-19, it's not surprising that the store was empty. The store's manager, Rica, was helpful and fetched me sizes I needed plus chatted a bit about the brand and life in general during this whole event going on. Got my shirt, got on my way, and was the first purchase of the day. Hopefully things picked up after I left.”

“Great feel good place. Always smells fantastic. Beautiful beachy clothing and they are made well. Also a limited selection of various items such as shoes, jewelry, candles and the like. Above my reasonable price range, however the company has now introduced a few sales which helps for acquisition.”

“I absolutely LOVE Free People, they have the best jeans and tops ever! A bit on the pricey end, but that's what you pay for good stuff. Definitely recommend for all those girls that want to look bomb for the summer. Enjoy!”

“Eric was absolutely wonderful in understanding what style and fabric of jeans I wanted, as well as the appropriate size. He was patient while I asked a lot of questions about how different styles and fabrics fit and wear. And he brought me several styles and a couple sizes to try. I walked out a very happy, well informed customer.”

“Just want to say the gentleman that help me this morning had amazing customer service skills. He made sure I was offered a drink while I waited for my food which was longer then usual. I appreciate that he acknowledged me and made sure i was taken care of . I always come here because food is always made right and it's fresh.”

“Tailor Maid - and Nina especially - was a wholly wonderful experience. I had originally thought I wanted my jeans hemmed a certain way, but Nina convinced me otherwise, and I'm much *much* happier with the result. Fast, friendly, and with such long open hours it was quite easy to find time in my busy schedule to drop off and pick up my items. They've done many formal outfits for me in the past - but I plan on coming back to have Tailor Maid perfect other items in my closet. Five stars :)”

“It's good to have an Allsaints store in the area so that you can see the items first-hand and try them out first. I wouldn't be able to tell that the X-small fit better on me than a small from going online.”

“Arnold C. showed up early for my appointment. Had the house treated after daughter got a negative test for Covid after a positive test last week. Very professional and courteous. The job was done in the time allotted. Will be using again for my mother-in-laws house. I will be recommending A&B Restoration to all I know.”

“I have been going here for about a year and a half and I love it. They have amazing Wednesday classes for kids and on Sundays they have great Sunday School and Sunday service. I'd you want to sing in the choir you can just ask and sing. I've invited a few of my best friends and they started going regularly. I learned so much about Jesus, god, etc. This church is amazing.”

“Mr. Bakus does an excellent job at a fair price. He principally repairs Canon printers , copiers and faxes. My father was a master watchmaker during the days of mechanical watches, and Bakus's small operation and high standards remind me very much of my father's work. Whatever the mechanical problem may be with a Canon printer, Mr. Bakus is well equipped to fix it. My father always had more watches to repair than he had time in which to fix them, and Mr. Bakus has the same problem, typical of every good repair shop that fixes complex mechanisms . Be sure it's a hardware problem with your printer and not a software problem on your computer. Call ahead as his hours can sometimes be irregular. Be sure to know your model number and ask him if he considers that model worth repairing - the low end units may cost more to repair than to replace. Getting parts from Canon may take a while - remember, there are lots of small parts inside any printer. Mr. Bakus is intelligent and honest, and like most repair people, can get a bit frazzled when he's overloaded. Give him the time to get parts and do his work and test the result, and your printer will come back good as new. For me, he's repaired two MP780s, an ip4000, an ip5000, and an iX6520.”
