“One of the cleanest, separated areas, & friendliest people & pets I've been to in a long time! My four month puppy loved it! Only thing missing is a creak. Stayed for hours.”

“This park has left our family a lot of great and warm memories, as we have organized 15 annual summer BBQ+Potluck party for over 30-40 families and friends through the years from 2005 to 2022, kids from 3+ to 20+, and we have a collection of wonderful pictures to show. We usually start the party from 3:00pm until sunset, kids used to play fire or cook their own mash mellow for fun, now they are grown-ups and cook the BBQs for parents and friends, the only drawback is lack of restroom nearby, you have to go to a friend’s house or to a grocery store or a coffee shop nearby. All in all, this is a great place for our family and memories! Cheers!”

“I highly recommend Tikiland for anyone looking for a loving daycare and preschool. The staff is amazing. The place has a great loving energy and everything kids love. They are taking care of the kids as if they were their own. They are always eager to share stories of what is happening during the day, share pictures, art project so we can relate at night. Our 3 years daughter loves her school, and our 1 year daughter (who started at 5 months) is really feeling at home when she is at daycare. All staff members are trained to follow kids’ cues/ schedule while teaching them so many new things every day.”

“Nice open field park for soccer, baseball and has b-ball courts. Kid area. Restroom. I wonder how many people may remember that the Palo Alto Drive-In Theatre was here up to early'70 when there was a drive-in at almost every other US 101 exit !!”

“A beautiful slice of nature perfect for a walk. Occasionally you might see a coyote. Stay out of the long grass, though: it has lots of deer ticks which will be most happy to surreptitiously climb up your leg and burrow their way into your skin.”

“If you go out the back side of the parking lot instead of towards the bathrooms, you can cross arastradro to the main part of the preserve. Via this entrance there is more shade and narrower steeper paths, although also more evidence of horse traffic... The parking lot and paths aren't too busy early-ish on weekday mornings, but I haven't braved the weekends at all.”

“Just a simple walking trail amidst rolling hills and California oak savannah. Kestrel sittings and handsome scenery - walk was over fairly quickly. Not at all strenuous but an enjoyable place to walk and facilities and interpretive displays well done. Clean bathrooms and good drinking water resources.”

“Beautifully maintained cemetery in palo alto. Some of the plots are out in the open, others are in more shaded areas under large trees. Walking around the grounds you get a hint of peoples stories, their history and the history of the country. Its strangely beautiful to see so many generations together, like time progresses there more slowly and 10 generations interact instead of just 3.”

“As the sign says, this park is connected to Turman middle school, and the school has first dibs on it during school hours, but it is open to the public. Beautiful tennis courts and full court basketball. Soccer goals set up in huge field, could do with a bit of repair. Theres a lot of wide open space beside for all kinds of activities. Also, theres a pedestrian walkway leading out of it down a nice path so you don’t have to walk along the street. Its next to a cemetery.”

“A gem in the Center of Silicon Valley. Nature rules just a two minute drive off of the busy 101 freeway. In the middle of rush hour you can come here and be in peace and quiet with ducks and birds and egrets and the occasional private plane landing. In one direction you see the Santa Cruz mountains and in the other you see the San Francisco Bay and the East Bay mountains. I like to sit in my quiet beautiful place between the marshy pickleweed and the bird filled bushes and just watch nature.”

“A must if you enjoy seeing waterfowl. This was a beautiful and peaceful hike in the morning to see different types of waterfowl and birds in general. The hike is away from any town and is very peaceful. The city did a great job with this preserve!”

“Wide open public space with a number of walking and biking gravel paths. Enjoy views of the Bay from the ever so slightly elevated viewpoint, the geese around the ponds that call this area home and airplanes on their approach of the Palo Alto airport.”
