“Terrific school. Our two kids love it and are getting a great education. Our 2nd grader currently gets instruction in math, reading, astronomy, biology, history, singing, recorder, drawing, movement, PE, Spanish, and origami art. Older kids do school newspaper and put on a play; everyone plays an instrument. It's more affordable than other private schools. Great value.”

“I've been going to Batish's for years for reproduction of audio and visuals. The shop has grown immensely and now has many wonderful Indian gifts. I recently bought a round table cloth and I have had many compliments on it. I love it. Batish's sister and mother are lovely people also. Batish used to perform for the Bethany University music department when it was in Scotts Valley (closed in 2011). I'm so glad they are in our community.”

“Gateway School is a progressive, inclusive, and highly supportive school in Santa Cruz. I attended Gateway for middle school, and I can say that I left excited and well prepped for high school. The environment helps students get excited about learning, the teachers are motivated and they truly care about how the students feel on a day to day basis. In Gateway's middle school, the grades are given a chance to mix and students can make friends they might not have otherwise had the experience of meeting. I can say that I met some of the truest, kindest people there. Unfortunately, some others have not had such good adventures as I have. From my experience, the staff and faculty at Gateway address problems as they come up, and do not ignore pressing concerns. Overall, I'd say that Gateway give its students a collaborative, exciting place to foster love of learning. Enjoy!”

“Excellent music teacher and guitar instructor - particularly if one is an absolute beginner and has never played an instrument before. One of the best guitar players that I have ever personally known / heard play in my life. Alex is an innovative player and effective teacher and seemingly perpetual student of his art. Would recommend to everyone I know.”

“I went to their informational sessions for future students and parents. I loved it. Their was a clear focus on the academic. Not the sports, not the (non-existing) fancy buildings -- but on very solid and ambitious academic work.”

“Reiki with Jacquelyn is an all around wonderful healing experience! Jacquelyn made me feel comfortable the moment I walked through the door. We sat down and she explained her process to me thoroughly and in a way I could understand. I have had reiki before and had mixed feelings. After this session however I am completely convinced that this is a very powerful method of healing. I came away from the session feeling rested, rejuvenated and reborn. Also there is free parking right downstairs. The space is clean and serene. I would highly recommend this practitioner to everyone and anyone.”

“I went here from Pre-K-5th grade back when it was Western Village Academy. I'm now 24 and I know that if I walked through the front doors tomorrow (I won't because that'd be weird) the office staff would remember me.”
