“This little market sells products from all Latin America. The majority of the products are from Mexico, but they do have a good selection of Brazilian goods. One can buy picanha, queijo de copo, cookies, Brazilian sausages, feijoada kit, chocolates, guaraná, etc. Staff is friendly, and are tons of parking lots available. I highly recommend if you want explore some products of south and central Americas.”

“Overall the place is great however it does have it's faults for instance there are times when I go and there is a whole brand of damaged items (e.g. one time only the large Great Value Parmesan Cheese bottles were all dented as opposed to their perfectly fine alternatives). The fruits and vegetables are also lacking in quality and buying any pastries made by them can sometimes be a gamble in flavor and quality. For a Neighborhood Market this is quite concerning since it's focus is supposed to be food & quality. As for the positives of this place the shelves are rarely in disorder, they always seem to have most things they offer in stock most of the time and the self checkout process isn't a nightmare. The employees are very helpful and when there's an issue they get it resolved as soon as possible. I remember this one time there was an older lady having trouble with the self checkout so an employee helped her through the whole thing.”

Once they made a mistake where they were supposed to refund because I didn’t purchase the item and the cashier mentioned that he had returned it and I should have received the refund but I had not received it after 10 days I had went into the store and they processed the refund and looked at the cashier s name as well so the hat he doesn’t repeat the same mistake again.”

After All these years I basically learned more about Bananas and their nutritional health benefits so as often as I can, I now purchase burro Bananas over the traditional perfectly displayed traditional American Bananas. 🍌🍌🍌 I once purchased what's called the baby Bananas which are displayed here on the bottom and was extremely disappointed because they were about 3x the price and they changed color from yellow to black as soon as I got them home. I didn't get to use them & I wasted my money. It's nice to know that Food 4 Less carries the regular Bananas, Plantains, Burro, and Baby Bananas. Yaaay! Food4less 😉”

“THE spot for high end steaks and meats. When I'm looking for a special cut of meat to celebrate a special occasion, Alameda Market is my go-to. This is less of a market and more of a boutique for meat lovers. Behind the glass cases you'll find a delicious array of steaks, skewers, kabob meat, fish, and more. Everything always looks fresh and appealing which always has me picking up more items than I intended going in. The remainder of the store is every bit as clean and appealing as the meat cases. Every shelf is stocked with specialty canned and dried goods to round out your meal and fill the belly. It's the best elements of a classic delicatessen and NYC bodega that reflects the pride of the owners. Speaking of the owners, what a great group of people. They're not just here to take your order, they're here to make you feel welcome. Ignore any and all negative reviews falsely claiming rude service—if you walk away with that impression it might be time to revaluate how you interact with people. “I have only been here once, so this is my first impression: Very clean and seemingly well-stocked. The store was well-lit, which is a plus. I just needed to get a broom -- the employee quickly told me the aisle and I got out of there quickly. I wouldn't shop here to cover all my grocery needs, but there are certainly other items that are pretty decent prices, even compared to Target/Wal-Mart. Compared to Viva, the next closest alternative, shop here if you can. The young black guy at the front was really helpful and seemed involved with the community and customers, which is always nice to see, especially in this area.”

“2 friends and I rode into Anza after a day crossing the dessert sand on bicycle, fighting a 30 mph headwind all day. Arrived at the Sunshine Market very thirsty and hungry, and the temperature was quickly dropping. We quickly found and consumed water, V8, gatorade, beer. We then started looking for food for the night and a place to put our sleeping bags. Sherri (i think that was her name?) was running this small market while we were there. She must be a different person than the "mean, slow" manager that some of the reviews refer to. Sherri helped us manage our "production line" of frozen food to microwave to fork. Meanwhile, Sherri called around to see if someone had shelter for us for the the night (40F and lots of wind). Sherri was like an angel. Robert lives nearby and showed up at Sunshine Market. Robert has an extra bungalow and offered it to us. Robert's bungalow was warm, comfortable, quiet, and included fresh dates and some classic tv programming (we watched Star Trek and Walker Texas Ranger). Robert's pad was clearly an oasis, and Robert is such a generous guy. Warms my heart to come across people like Sherri and Robert, who went out of their way to help refuel and lodge a few thirsty, hungry guys wearing spandex. We'll never forget the experience. Thanks.”

“This place is a real neighborhood gem. I will always recommend it—the deli is the star of the show, but this market also has a wide variety of produce, baked goods, packaged goods… they have sodas and even some speciality drinks (e.g., aloe drinks) in the back. You can also get espresso and other coffees at the front of the market (right by the deli). Most everything is quite decently priced, sandwiches at the deli are $10-13 depending on your fixin’s. There are also a few small tables outside to eat at, so you don’t have to walk to eat.”

“This is a very small hole in the wall market with very limited products. But if you need specialty items such as dried shrimps from Louisiana, this is the place to come. I bought 14oz pack for $29 but it goes a very long way. It looked so fresh. They do have a frest meat counter where I see many women there in the morning ... so the meat must be good. I have not personally bought any here. I bought a small "banh chung" 3.75"square x 2" thick for $5 which turned out pretty good. This is a gluttonous rice cake stuffed with mung beans & pork wrapped in banana leaves. This market is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The lady owner is very nice. I only gave 4 stars due to limited products and place seemed a little messy.”
