“This is more than a convenience store, it is a last one-stop shop for all your needs before entering the National Forest. They have a wide selection of snacks, canned food, fresh produce, and ready to eat food. They also have fantastic baked goods. You can even order a fresh baked pie of your choice. They also have propane and a ton of camping and fishing gear. They have public restroom too. The owners are very friendly. FYI no camping on the premises.”

“A little less traveled trailhead. Great hiking, lots of sights to keep interest. Water areas were partially frozen. Saw some young moose.”

“Really unique and wonderful place! I’ve stopped in twice now and thought it would be good to leave a review. The other reviewers already covered the important details about the food and drink they offer - and I’d concur that everything I’ve had so far has been great. But The best part about it though is the location - imagine a coffee shop tucked into a beautiful stone building with great views of Mt Meeker. That’s what you’ve got; bring a book and a sweater and you’re in introvert heaven! If you’re looking for a quick side trip from Estes Park or want to get away from the Front Range for a peaceful morning, highly recommended.”

“Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the new Rock Creek Tavern location, eager to explore their revamped venue. and new menu. With high expectations in mind, I discovered that the new establishment not only met but exceeded my every expectation, making for an unforgettable experience. As I stepped into the Rock Creek Tavern, I was immediately struck by its warm and inviting ambiance. The rustic yet modern decor created a cozy atmosphere. The owner was an absolute delight and made our lunch experience enjoyable and memorable. We stopped for a casual lunch. We started with a homemade soup that was delicious. The wings were crispy (just as we asked for) and moist. The pizza is truly one of the best we have had. We will definitely be back!”

“We had Bees Thai food truck for the first time a few weeks ago at Liquid Mechanics Brewery in Lafayette, CO. The Basil Fried Rice with Chicken and Crispy Pork is such a treat! You can tell that the ingredients are very fresh! The ladies that run this truck are very sweet and took great care of us. We've been craving it for the last few weeks so we looked on their Facebook page to see where they were at tonight. Guess what? We found them! And we were able to get our fix of their delicious Thai Fried Rice again! It was just as good as the first time! Give them a try! You'll be addicted as well! Thanks Bees!”

“Great "hole in the wall" restaurant. My go-to is the smothered burrito, fresh made guacamole, chips, and salsa. The food is really, really good and has a homemade feel to it. Plus it's a nice place to stop for lunch if you're going to/from Estes.”

“If you can get Ouzel Falls in one hour, it hard to just stop there. There were still 3 feet tall snow on the trail after the intersection to bluebird on Memorial Day Weekend.”

“This is a spectacularly beautiful lake. The hike is 2 miles up (and up and up!) from Finch Lake, but if you have the energy it's definitely worth your time to visit. I didn't visit the campsite but I could (barely) see it from the lake and it's fairly well protected from the wind by some moderately-sized pine trees.”

“A surprisingly cozy place, considering that it'll sleep 8-10 in comfort. Fantastic upstairs deck and outdoor hot tub plus full kitchen, two baths and both TV and WiFi. Pet friendly and we spent a wonderful week all to ourselves.”

“All I can say is wow, this was an amazing hike for the family, our 6 year old did well on the trail. So many great stopping points along the way to see and sit. One of the best hikes we took. The privy isn’t fancy but came in handy”
