Amazing hike with spectacular views! Be prepared with proper gear, food, and water. There are so many great spots along the way so you can make it half day or a full day.

Great but busy trailhead that allows access to Diamond lake, Arapaho Pass, and Arapaho Glacier Lakes. Parking is nigh on impossible in the summer if you arrive any later than 8 am so plan to rise early or tack on a road hike to the trailhead for your day hike. Beautiful scenery, wildlife, water features (including a few waterfalls on the way to Diamond lake) and wildflowers galore (in the summer).
Loved it. Parking is limited and a visit during the week is best. Summer is very crowded. The trail services many routes.
The Fourth of July Trailhead is a popular access point to the east side of the southern Indian Peaks Wilderness. Accessible from this point are South and North Arapaho Peaks, Mount Neva, Jasper Peak, Arapaho Pass, Lake Dorothy, Diamond Lake and a number of smaller, unnamed lakes and peaks.
