“Natural spacious sites. Impeccably clean bathrooms. Water closest to site B01 where we stayed. Beautiful park to explore and camp in. Saw deer and elk at our campsite. Very close to downtown estes park and RMNP. Love this campground!!!!!”

“Awesome location. Gorgeous scenery. Extremely secluded, mainly because you must bushwhack to get there. It is about 7-8 miles one way and a grueling journey, especially if you don't know a good route. Contact me if you are thinking of going on this hike and I can give you some potential routes. This hike is NOT for beginners. You will need navigation equipment and must be in-shape. If you are good hiking 14ers you will probably be OK hiking this so long as you don't mind hiking 1500 ft elevation through steep forest while hopping 40% downed trees on the forest floor. There is a trail to Mt Ida following the continental divide but no trail to the north of the ridge.”

“Regarding the store near Telegraph and West in Brownstown. I needed a few specific automotive hose adapters to backflush the heater core in my daughter's 2011 Edge. I was undertaking a real red neck operation, and needed to connect two car hoses to garden hoses. And I found the 3/4 diameter adapters! Very happy! Then I needed radiator fluid and distilled water. They had the radiator but do not carry distilled water. Very sad! Therefore, four stars. Had to go to a grocery store for the water. I gave them 5 stars.”

“Very nice campground. Excellent lakeside camping with electric. The camp host was extremely friendly and helpful.”

“It may not be the most impressive mountain lake you’ll see in RMNP, but I enjoyed that the hike and time at this lake was calmer and had much less traffic than many of the cliche hikes in the park. The lake is surrounded by trees and craggy mountains are close to give some awesome lake reflections. I had a very enjoyable hike, which I began from the Fern Lake TH.”

“One of the best and most easily accessible Alpine trails with a plethora of wild flowers during early-mid summer. Always critter sightings.”

“Beautiful views from the upper eastern site and close stream access from the lower western site with a rustic privy in between them. Both are suitable for tents and hammocks and a close walk from the main trail.”

“Good clean hotel. Four stars because of the freeway noise and no microwave or black out drapes in room. Front desk staff was awesome and attentive. Pool was nice.”

“Nice place, easy to get to but FAR AWAY from water and lots of day hikers.”

“Beautiful, but mosquitos despite elevation. Few more people than I expected due to multiple campgrounds.”

“Beautiful site with a fire ring! The distance from the trailhead is deceptive because of the ever changing terrain.”

“There are two individual campsite here (7 people or under). Both campsites are great. Right outside of a beautiful swampy meadow. You can often see elk and deer in the meadow. The campsite is within range of some easier day hikes. There is a privy here shared by the two campsites.”
