Century Casino Cripple Creek

Address: 200-220 E Bennett Ave, Cripple Creek, CO 80813, USA

“Hotel: Had a great time and was surprised how nice the room was. I was expecting maybe motel level but it was much better. Looking at the escape plans, it looks like they each are very different in size and layout. We got one on the outside and it had some character in a good way. Every staff member we met seemed to be in good spirits and a bunch seemed really happy to be there-so that made it even nicer. My only caution is that the room allows a lot of sound from downstairs and outside in. They even gave earplugs. Personally, I didn’t find it too bad but maybe others will appreciate the earplugs to sleep with. Casino: I like the casino here. It’s nice and comfortable. The grill seems like a great choice if you’re in town. We’ve been a few times and are always happy with the portion size and value, plus it’s pretty tasty. My only complaint is that they are not very good at advertising their member deals and free play is basically only to sign up. I’d probably return more often if they sent me a $5 free play every once in a while - maybe for birthday or even ever. Also, they apparently do a bunch of deals with the grill and the like (2 for 1 or 1/2 off food with some amount of play), but the only way to know is to have the grill staff tell you (by chance) or you see an ad in the bathroom. Maybe send me an email or something? Turns out these are regular events and I didn’t know it until we were there, even after visiting their website to plan my trip. Not enough to bump a star, just maybe a way they could get me to show up more often.”

“Quaint, adorable cabin in the mountains of Florissant. The backyard is stunning with a water fall coming down the rock formation, a fire pit, outdoor seating and privacy fence. Outside the gate you’ve got a path right up into the mountains. The rock formations are incredible! Also the owner has placed four chairs for watching the sunset atop the boulders. The interior is small but has high ceilings giving the place a cozy feel that’s not too small. There is one spacious bedroom and one spacious bathroom. In the main living area you’ve got a pullout couch and two additional love seats. There’s a full functioning kitchen with dining table and also an outdoor grill. Perfect for small families! It’s 100% worth it. Great family getaway in the beautiful Rockies.”

“Absolutely amazing stay! The place is literally 3 minutes away from the casinos and there is always a free shuttle available and waiting. The rooms are so clean. The attention to detail is immaculate. I will be staying here again.. the free breakfast 🥞 was tasty too!”

Diamond Campground Inc.

Address: 900 CO-67, Woodland Park, CO 80863, USA

Rv park Lodging

“Really liked staying here. Even in June you don’t need the air conditioning that much because the campground is wooded and stays really cool. They were out maintaining the roadways everyday and it was really clean here. The only problem I had was the voltage was getting low ( around 100v) so my surge protector shut off a few times but that only happened one day when the campground was jam packed with people. Other than that it was great and fairly quiet. Lots of good food in town and plenty of lakes and forest land to explore.”

“This place is absolutely a fantastic piece of history to this gold mining town. The ladies taking us through the tour were soo knowledgeable that the past came to life. Walking through the door, the 1800’s comes into frame. As they stated, many gold mine deals were discussed & closed within those walls. Everything here is exquisite & a must see for any antique/history aficionados. Even the door hinges were handcrafted!”

“Stopped by this place today (11/13/21) for some odds-n-ends for our vacation rental stay. The lady running the place was so friendly to us and to others! We walked the entire store to take it all in and saw a cool piece of art in the back by the coffee machines. Sad this place is up for sale but we hope the owner's next adventure is a great one.”

“Our group has stayed here 2 years and we have just loved every minute! The rooms and the views are amazing and the kitchen is well stocked. Erika and Chris make every effort so your stay is a most comfortable and relaxing time. We had 18 - 20 adults and 2 children and we felt like we had so much space! They also went out of their way to grade the road for our bikes and Chris' dad lined it with American Flags for the Veterans Rally. They made so many upgrades from year one to two we were very impressed!! We will be back - I can assure you of what special hosts they are. I highly recommend Alpine Vista Retreat - a must!”

“Cody is my hero! Polite, professional, and skilled; he really listened to me and was able to diagnose my problem over the phone. As soon as parts were available he arrived and was able to promptly get me back on the road. He even offered to bring me groceries knowing I was stranded in my RV alone for a few days. Best repair experience I’ve had in 3 years of owing my RV. Next time I break down I hope it’s in Colorado so Cody can save the day again.”

Columbine Elementary School

Address: 175 E Kelley's Rd, Woodland Park, CO 80863, USA

“Our family loves Columbine! The principle knows each child by first name and acknowledges them in the halls and in the parking lot before school. The teaching and front office staff is great and friendly. Our kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Uher is the best, she really takes time with our son and keeps in close contact with my husband and myself to keep us up to date with his progress. We love Columbine and so do our children. Would highly recommend this school.”

The Hotel St. Nicholas

Address: 303 3rd St, Cripple Creek, CO 80813, USA

Lodging

“A wonderful hotel away from the casinos but within walking distance to them. The man who manages the hotel was just a joy. He gave me a tour of the building, showing me the lounge, the breakfast area, the little store with the works of local artists. My room was small but very clean and well-organized. The bed was firm and not like one of those beds that feels like a million people have already slept on it. Just a pleasure.”

Baja Billy's

Address: 233 E Bennett Ave, Cripple Creek, CO 80813, USA

Restaurant

“One of my favorite casinos in Cripple Creek. Always a decent selection of slot machines, newer tv and movie themed machines and 3D machines. Wait service here seems to be better than at some of the others, the cafe inside has always been a go to of mine for late night meals, and they have some great specials. Overall they offer a lot that one ups the competition. I also got a mudslide from a waiter here, I dont know his name, but he told me it was gonna be good, and it was absolutely amazing.”

Gas N' Roll

Address: E Golden Ave, Cripple Creek, CO 80813, USA

Gas station

“Open late and serves some hot foods. Other places closed but not here. Large variety of food, snacks, auto supplies and healthcare items. Gas is always open and not overpriced just because it's the only full service station for moles.”
