“This is a small, yet very interesting museum. There are several small exhibits about Native Americans in the area, early settlers, and geology all with some very cool artifacts. Hours are limited, but if you can make a trip here it is definitely worth it to learn more about the history of Florissant and the Pikes Peak region.”

They contacted us to make sure everything was okay and if we still wanted to proceed with everything. “Chris, the owner, saved the DAY!!! Hubby and I were headed back home after a week of ATV riding when we had a a flat on our ATV trailer, with no jack and a severely corroded spare tire. Not only did Chris change the flat but he had to do a little welding back at his shop! Start to finish we lost about 1 hour of travel time. “Wildwood is a large, newer hotel and casino close to everything in the town of Cripple Creek, a historic but still active gold mining town in a great mountain setting. The casino and it's two restaurants are clean and modern with good, friendly service and reasonable prices. Drinks are free for those who choose to gamble and things were busy at the weekend. We had a drink in the sports bar then chose to enjoy a leisurely meal in Joe's. The food and the service were good and we would return when in the area again.”

“Today the Pastor did Sermon in the Sack. It's the last Sunday of the month, where the children go up to the front and one of the children brings a brown sack with something in it. The Pastor doesn't know what it is until he pulls it out, and then does a quick sermon on it for the kids, and us. Today it was a harmonica, and the Pastor spoke on making a joyful noise. Speaking of joyful noise, today was also the 5th Sunday of the month and worship service is all hymns. We sang How Great Thou Art acapella a the end of the service and it was amazing. They have a lot of activities and group scheduled through out the week and month.”
