“If you are disciplined, goal oriented and like structure this school is for you. They are serious about providing the students with all the tools that are needed to become a professional pilot. “Nothing worth having comes easy, if so, everyone would have it””

“I did this RNFA program several years ago. The Suture Stars, with Dean Parsons in Chicago. It was great! However- there needs to be more tool kits and follow up time. I find myself going to YouTube to watch different suturing and feel that’s inadequate. A toolkit with online libraries would be very helpful and promote more people wanting to receive this certificate. Otherwise, it was a good 3-day program- great for someone who already works in the OR as a scrub nurse or frequently scrubs in as extra hands for a procedure. I may also add, it would be helpful to possibly be more specific to the needs of the students- I’m my course, we did hysterectomy and vascular grafting- two things I rarely do. I do a lot of neuro spine and orthopedic surgery and so learning to place retractors around nerves and vessels as well as anatomy and suturing of the anterior and posterior neck would have been most helpful to me. I did learn on the job, but advanced knowledge, other than books and YouTube would have been much better. Spending time doing abdominal hysterectomy was not something I needed to spend one of my valuable class days learning. Thanks”

“This is the Canon City extension of Pueblo Community College's main campus in Pueblo, but it can completely stand on its own, in many respects. First, they have their own bookstore, which is nice, since you don't have to go all the way to Pueblo. I will mention, however, that you really shouldn't always expect to be able to buy your books on the Pueblo campus if you happen to be in town, because their book assignments aren't always the same as the Fremont campus. I discovered this when I happened to be in Pueblo, decided to take care of my book charges, and buy my books there. Discovered the first day of class that I'd inadvertently bought the wrong psychology book, had to drive all the way back to Pueblo to return it, because apparently, sales taxes vary across county lines, so they couldn't return it at the Fremont campus and save me the drive back to Pueblo. Not a terrible thing, but I just felt ridiculous for not having realized they'd have a different book list. Silly me.. Moving on, though. They also have their own counseling center here, which is much faster than the main campus. All the financial aid paperwork can also be processed here; they just fax it to the main campus for you. Classes here rarely get over about 25 people. Some of the larger classes are usually the rudimentary levels (090 courses), or the courses that are required for most programs (i.e. Anatomy) because people getting in need those to qualify into their per-requisites for their programs. So if you don't need those and can skip directly to higher levels, you'll find the average class size is usually about 20, which is awesome. Makes for some nice discussions, and means that the teacher actually ends up learning your name over the year, and can recognize you in the hallway when you pass. They also offer a few degree programs here, the main one being nursing. It's a great option, considering that the main campus is 45 minutes from Canon, and it would be a tad bit arduous to drive that twice a day. So the fact that they offer that program out there and not just alternative classes that transfer to the main campus is great. Small school, but great setting, with a nice familial feeling. I would totally recommend it for people studying in the area.”

“I graduated from here in 2017. I really loved my experience here. I got tons of help, support and scholarships! They always had something going on with food included :) Teachers were generally nice, with a few exceptions but that’s everywhere you go. I recommend you going here instead of CCD because at least it is away from Downtown Denver, its problems and expensive parking.”

“After an extended time away from flying, I signed up for a block of simulator time to work my way back to being current. I am confident this would also be a great experience for new students, or those working on rating upgrades. They are generally not too busy, so it is usually easy to schedule time.”

“Chloe did an amazing job on my hair! They were super fun to talk to and really listened to exactly what I wanted. Chloe was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I wanted a balayage but a lot of salons charge +$200 so I tried out the IBMC salon to save some money but I wasn’t expecting much. I was astounded at how well my hair turned out. Students are doing your hair, but they have instructors to advise them. It takes a little bit longer than a stylist who has been doing hair for 20 years but so worth it to save some cash. Everyone was really friendly and the atmosphere was good. No more expensive salons for me.”

“Went to Red Rocks for 3 years before graduating from Mines 2 years later. College has made my life so much better and I owe most of my education to the teachers here. They helped establish the base of knowledge which was rigorously tested at Mines. The best secret I can let you all in on, is that the teachers at Red Rocks were far superior in their teaching skills than at Mines. Many times Mines classes were taught by mid 20’s grad and doc students who never taught or had a desire to teach but finances and degree programs force them into it. Not to take anything away from Mines, its a great place to finish your education, just giving the inside scoop on something I wish I would have known before transferring. The teachers at Red Rocks are professionals, they love to teach which is why they teach at a community college. 11 out of 10 for really caring and being dedicated to education. Semesters and teachers have their ups and downs but overall my experiences at Red Rocks will always be one of the greatest and most fulfilling chapters of my life. A great place to get started on a new path in life!”
