“Just a RV park. Took us right away when no one else would. I think the ladies in the office are great. May not be the newest or fanciest but it's just what I needed! Thanks Lake Meyers RV park!!!”

“I gotta say, even with over 1,000 sites- this place was pretty quiet and peaceful! The staff was absolutely pleasant and very accommodating. I will admit that after reading some of these reviews- I was definitely discouraged about spending 8 days, 7 nights here but I went in with an open mind, read the rules and respected them which is what you should do. We, a family of 6, had no issues. The crabbing dock/ fishing pier was small but efficient. The beach is not like a swim beach but more of a relaxing area looking over the bay. Our campsite was quite large. The bathhouse was very clean, and the hot water was perfect. Everything was perfect. I would recommend bringing bikes or a golf cart as its alot to walk in the heat. The only downfall I had here, and it's not the camps fault or problem- but it seemed the kids were nocturnal! 8 and 10 year old out in the playground areas at 1 and 2 am...what's up with that? My children were 17, 16 and 14 and I made sure they were at the site by 11pm. As I said, not the camps issue but as a mom, I couldn't believe it.”

“Visited for the 4H state camp. They are renovating the kids cabins and have already renovated the dining hall and bathrooms. The improvements are excellent and the seeing is beautiful, right on the Muddy Miller Creek. Newer pool and excellent camps make this a great place to send your kids.”

“Love this place!! Bathrooms away clean. We love to Camp or just come over for a nice walk, ride our bikes, kayaking or visit with friends that are champing. The camping store has a little of everything..get out and enjoy but make sure to pick up your dogs poop and take your trash. No one wants to pick it up for you. :)”

“Great place to enjoy the beach! Have been her 10 years now. The Croppers keep the place maintained and clean at all times. All the amenities are in full working order at all times. I see other reviews that refer to too many rules. In 10 years I have never found this to be the case. This is a family campground that is quiet and safe in my experience. Prior to being here we were at a different campground with few rules. Always problems, not nearly as clean and family safe. This is a second home. We continue to enjoy it greatly.”

“This is the best place on the east coast to build camping memories in the sand. I have been making this journey every year for the last 50 years! Their amenities have been improved over the years. But every year I spend basking in the sun reflecting on the previous years & how my life was energized for yet another year by digging my toes into ageless grains if sand.”

“This area is a grand combination of a park, a camp ground, a strip of oceanside beach just made for surfing, and an additional dedicated beach that allows drive-on with a surf fishing permit. I’m saying it’s 5 golden stars in my world because the seasons, tides, winds and weather allow us to experience the earth, sky and sea in this unique place. The Indian River Bridge spans the inlet and creates an overhead arc that frames the coming and going of boats, bikers, surfers and nature lovers from the Indian River inlet to the Atlantic Ocean. An amazing place to walk, picnic, beach sit, fish, and just observe a sunrise, a sunset and all the time in between. Stunningly awesome.”

“We have had a wonderful stay and will definitely return to this resort. The staff is superb and the amenities they offer are plenty that you can stay busy. They keep the grounds in impeccable condition. The sites are big enough that you do not feel crowded. The sites are level which is a huge bonus considering how so many places aren't lately!”

“We love Big Oaks Campground. We take tent sites or cabins. If we take tent sites we prefer with the ones with electricity and water. You must mention what you need right away. Last time we came I asked for a tent site with electric outlet assuming it will have water too, but it didn't. We survived))) The campground is usually quite. Whenever we came we hadn't been bothered by neighbors meaning there were no loud talks, no music. Bathrooms are good.”

“Been going here since I was born. I absolutely love it. It's very clean and they have constant fun activities. A pool and water play area, mini golf and a park. Great roads for biking and just talking a walk. Everyone is so friendly. Absolutely love it.”

“Best campground ever! The bathrooms are individual rooms with a sink, toilet, and shower. Everything about the campground was clean and well maintained. The campground is one of the few open in the winter so this was a great winter camping destination! This park is an awesome mix of historical sites and natural beauty. Also, the nature center is a must see with touch tanks and anaquarium. I highly recommend this park!”

“If I could give a triple 5 star or more review I would. What a great campground! Went camping for an extended weekend with our granddaughters. The staff are wonderful, all of them. Yogi, Cindy Bear, and Boo Boo are great with the kids. So many activities for the kids. It great watching them have fun. The campsites are spacious. Very clean and well maintained campground. And I have to give a shout out to Mr. Bill and Junior. We needed a special tool to access a fuse panel as the fuse for the stabilizers blew. They not only had to tool for us to borrow they proceeded to open up the part of the bunk to access it and then replaced the fuse for us. They went above and beyond.”
Address: 4075 Gun and Rod Club Rd, Houston, DE 19954, USA
“I have camped there several times and management has always gone above and beyond. The cabin experience is the way to go. Making reservations is a easy process and for the winter time camping we had plenty of fire wood. Loved it!! Mt. Man”
Address: 3015 Paradise Alley Rd, Harrington, DE 19952, USA
“Beautiful park to visit. Has a large camp ground and a good sized pond for kayaking and fishing. There is also a water park on location as well as a eco research center that offers educational experiences for the whole family. During the late spring and during summer there are many scheduled outdoor activities the park staff plan. Wonderful family experience, also good if your rolling solo.”
