I like riding my bike here and just staring at the fountain with the Capitol in the background. It brings me great peace.
Nice little park with a fountain designed by the same sculptor as the Statue of Liberty. The park is a part of the US Botanical Garden located across the street, so there is quite a few more unusual botanical specimens in the park, and it is exceptionally well kept.
Great spot for reading outside or an outdoor meetup/picnic when the weather is nice. Created in 1932, and named after the sculptor of the Fountain of Light and Water at the park’s center, Bartholdi park is overseen by the Botanical garden and is rarely busy as it’s often overshadowed by the nearby Senate grounds.
