Our mom moved here from an independent living apartment in Gainesville to be closer to me. We loved visiting her, staff were always friendly. Mom enjoyed her stay here. When her dementia worsened, she moved into the Memory Care unit and received excellent care. No place is ever going to be perfect and staffing shortages are everywhere in this industry, but we always felt she was cared for with love and dignity. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, I would highly recommend you look here. Mom passed last month and I miss her terribly but I also miss going to visit with her Canterfield family. We couldn't have found a better place for her to live.
Two years ago my Dad had to have surgery. He walked into the hospital but after could not care for himself safely. The responsibility
fell on me and I was at a loss. I contacted the director Brenda Lee and instantly knew Dad would be at home.
He had a rough first couple weeks due to another hospital stay but everyone was so caring with great concern. He was so comfortable living there. The staff are beyond caring, understanding and loving like family should be.
Please visit and take a tour. It is just an amazing facility to call home.
Thank you to the entire staff! Much love to you all!
Moved my brother yesterday into this facility, how understanding and caring the staff is. Their was staff coming and going in my brothers room, made me feel like a hero that I chose this facility.
By far the best place! The staff here truly cares. The caregivers are invested in the physical care, as well as the emotional. They all go beyond the extra mile. On many of occasions, they would just pop in the visit with my grandparents for no reason other than they wanted to make sure all was good. Because they knew my grandparents were going though a tough spot adjusting, someone had been sick or just to remind them that the staff was there to assist them. Or they simply knew how hard headed my grandfather was and sometimes he need a gentle push.
I would list all the amazing people that cared for my grandparents. But out of fear of forgetting someone I won’t. Plus, it truly would be an extremely long list of people. Can’t recommend them enough. They become family and that is what you want for your loved ones.
Beautiful facility and awesome staff
