“A nice park to chill at when there's not a game. Only thing is sometimes I see a sketchy kid with a Lil Peep beanie and a BMX bike. Other than that, a nice chill spot!!!”

“Nice selection on equipment that toddlers and older children can enjoy. Shade in the equipment made it more pleasurable. There was one broken rung on the chain ladder but it was still safe to climb. The grass hadn't been mown recently but with all these rains I'm sure it's hard to keep up. The picnic shelter and 6 hoop basketball court were in good shape.”

“From the minute I walked in the staff was absolutely amazing, helpful, and friendly. The park is nicely manicured. Clubhouse is great with amazing showers and bathrooms that are cleaned 4 times a day. The pool is beautiful along with a gorgeous catch and release lake. Everyone is super friendly. I have two school age kids and they love love it here. I’m SO GLAD We chose this place over Flamingo Lake. There’s no other place I’d rather be while I build /buy my forever home.”

“I do like this park! Pretty big disc golf course. The only thing I will say is that a lot of the holes border the walkway and you have to be careful of pedestrians walking by. Makes for a challenge, sure, but I would like it if I did not have wait for tons of people to walk by to throw my disc. Otherwise a really fun place to go! I recommend it!??”

“A beautiful and cozy park that has something to do for everyone. The little park is shaded by trees and the park is well kempt, and as of late there has been few visitors at one time, allowing park goers to maintain social distancing measures. The park is very well cleaned and maintained, and I would recommend this park for a small family hangout.”

“I'm guessing this park has been here for a while but I recently found out about it in the last few months. Definitely a good place to bring the kids and even a dog or football and have some fun. Do watch out for ants if you're in any of the grass. It does need some minor maintenance but still good to hold a small birthday party or just come get some energy out.”

“Great place for a hike, picnic & some fishing. I appreciated that they have trash bags available for people to pack their trash out, although disappointed at the amount of entitled, disrespectful buttheads that just leave their trash laying around. Many of the trails provide shade during the heat of the day. Watch for wildlife, spiders and spider webs (at head height), bugs and ticks. Nice trails for dogs (although note tick comment above). Note Google directions are not quite right for the entrance here, the entrance is beyond the kayak launch to the left. Nice pier for fishing. More fishing off the blue trail. Toilets available. Shelter with picnic tables available. Handicap as accessible to fishing pier and shelter.”

Address: 10790 Key Haven Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, USA
“This is one of those hidden gems. The park os located off Dunn Avenue, on Key Haven Road. It's on the same side as the Gate Gas Station but the street (Key Haven) right before it. Go through the neighborhood and take the street all the way until it ends and the entrance to the park is on the right. The park is very quiet. You can fish, kayak, watch the birds, see the creatures in the water, walk the trails, or take out your binoculars and view the scenery. There are also private enclosed picnic areas and vacation cabins. If you are planning to spend a few hours, bring your bug spray and sun tan lotion and sun hat. If you fish off the pier, their is not a covering from the sun. There is also a community center that you can rent for special occasions. It is equipped with a full kitchen, tables and chairs and restrooms. Parking is extremely tight, so keep that in mind if you are planning a special function. It's not a park for RV's or travel trailers, parking is just too tight and the turn around would be challenging! No pets are allowed except for service dogs. No swimming and no drinking and that's it for the most part.”

“This magnificent sunset along the banks of the St. John's River was the highlight of my evening after two and a half days of nonstop rain. One of my favorite things about this place are the endless number of spots you can stop to take pictures as you make your way along the trail or walk along the shoreline towards the end of the pier.”

“Love the park. Nice shaded walking sidewalks. Very nice pavilion. Unfortunately the derelicts are taking over. Because of this, I would not recommend you go in the early morning or late evenings. Day time use only to be safer. And in a group if you have children.”

“Wow, wow, wow, Florida! Why have you been hiding this gem. Wonderfully secluded and remote in Jacksonville! Cumbersome forests and bogs, I truly feel as if I were De Soto discovering a new, untamed land. How the heck did they taverse this swampy, muddy, landscape? This preserve brings me to a place where only my imagination and De Soto's writing have brought me before. Some trails are impassable with swamp and I highly recommend taking utmost precaution. Beginners be prepared!”
