“Everthing looked good but we decided to get the barbecue chicken dinner with rice and peas, green beans and plantains. We also got chicken patties and a beef patty. Everyone loved their food.”

“This small family-owned restaurant in Fruitland Park (Florida) is the perfect lunch date location. There are maybe 12 tables at the Jamaican Jerk Hut & Island Scoops. My wife and I have been several times. This visit included ordering a small beef soup for my wife and I got a Jamaican beef patty to start. The main course was curry chicken with cabbage and rice for the wife. I selected the jerk pork with mac-and-cheese and collard greens. My wife had water and I wanted a Sprite. The chef’s touch is a hit. Every bite is filled with flavor – the greens alone are off the charts. We saved portions of each meal on purpose, so that we could have dessert. My wife had the lemon bar, and she could not stop raving about it. I had a scoop of ice cream on sugar cone. It was $55 before tip. We will most likely drive the 45 minutes again, this weekend.”

“This place is hard to describe. Pictures do not do it justice at all. You really need to go and experience it for yourself. It's mostly for adults since many ice cream flavors are made with real alcohol. There are non-alcoholic selections too. The choices are many, all rich and filling and can be very potent. This place is a one of a kind, colourful and delicious experience. Stop by and give it a try. You'll be glad you did.”

“Fun place! Eclectic nostalgia items in every inch. Great "adult" ice cream (I like Kahlua fudge). Thursday is trivia night. Lots of fun and laughter.”

“I ordered to go. I got four plain biscuits 4 blueberry biscuits and two cinnamon rolls. The biscuits are unlike traditional biscuits they are baked in a sheet and cut in squares. That being said they are very tall, super soft and nice and moist. The blueberry biscuits were good but not exceptional. I probably would have liked them a little bit sweeter or with more blueberries. The cinnamon rolls were huge and excellent the bread portion of the cinnamon roll were moist and tender the flavor of the cinnamon was not overpowering.”

“Chopped pork was delicious, perfectly cooked. So good in fact I didn’t even sauce it. The mac & cheese was phenomenal. Next time I’m ordering double. Probably the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. And the greens I had were spot on too. I just wish I lived closer so I could go more often.”

“Love this restaurant and we love the family too! Phenomenal atmosphere and sweet home like service. Food is always exceptional and tasty. Eat in or Take out; delivery too. But I do recommend meeting them and enjoy this family.”
