“Great place to camp in the Ocala National Forest area. It's within range of several other campgrounds and hiking trails, as well as the nearby town of Umatilla, where there are some grocery stores and gas stations. The camping spaces are cozy little niches carved out of the woods, arranged in a cul-de-sac formation, and with good natural privacy barriers in the trees. Large restroom is centrally located, and as clean as you could reasonably expect at a campsite. When l was there, l saw no pesky park rangers or state employees to bother you. No annoying 'quiet hours' or any other unnecessary rules that would cramp your experience. Fees are super small. Leave your payment in a dropbox and hang your ticket at your camp space. I really enjoyed the place and I'll be back.”

“I could not find a room for 150 miles and it was late, weather and traffic were very bad and I was exhausted. The couple who own and run this very retro roadside motel were so kind, they held the room till I arrived and did not charge extra for the craziness and the lateness of the hour. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and when I saw it in the light of day, I was charmed by the outside. It made me feel like I had stepped back in time and it was a safe and lovely feeling. My daughter loves a hotel, and we both enjoyed our stay, even if it was only for one night. The furnishings were admittedly sparse and the toilet wobbled a bit when you used it, but the sweet couple, the price, the safe and comfy place to lay our heads more than make up for any lacking amenities. It is a great place to spend a night or two while traveling.”

“This ranch has everything you could need for you and your horse and dog. The apartment style rooms are newly remodeled and clean and comfortable with satellite tv, great water pressure, beautiful decks and overlooking a big pond. There was a communal deck, large grill, clean swimming pool and fire pit as well. The paddock for the horses was big and all grass with new fencing and shade trees. The owner and staff were friendly and very accommodating. The best part about the whole trip was having access to beautiful trails in the Ocala National Forest at the end of the road the ranch is off of. We are looking forward to our next visit. ”

“This is such a great place to spend a nice, relaxing weekend. It is peaceful, surrounded by nature and the owners are extremely nice. If you want to do something different to visiting theme parks and outlets, this is a great option and is only an hour away from Orlando, great for a weekend getaway in nature. The place is next to Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest, which is a must do if you are in the area. And if you are lucky they might even be hosting a fun event when you stay there. I highly recommend visiting Return to Nature.”

Breakast was good and included scrambled eggs and fresh fruit, as well as the usual waffles, breads and cereals. They had real cooked oatmeal, not instant. Excellent coffee. I would stay again.”

“If you like a quiet and private country home, this apartment is excellent. Very comfortable and spacious, extremely clean and well-appointed. Thoughtful additions like reverse-osmosis water and a REALLY well-stocked kitchen including spices (a plus since there are few restaurants nearby), AND LOTS of fresh herbs growing outside. When I parked my car, I was delighted by the smell of fresh dill growing. As a business traveler, I appreciated the desk in the front room at a window, with plenty of outlets and a good internet connection. A total bonus was being able to take walks on clay country roads, with beautiful scenery and wonderful smells- jasmine, sage, roses, herbs. I also really appreciated that there were enough electrical outlets in the bedroom for phones, tablets, etc; the bathroom is spacious and the washer and dryer a plus. They are only 2 miles away from Trilogy, which has an excellent restaurant. If you’re REALLY lucky, the owners will be preparing for an event with their food truck and you can buy a BBQ dinner from them. Pulled pork, beef brisquette, cheesy potatoes are beyond terrific and the homemade BBQ sauce is to DIE for. I’d take gallons home with me if I could! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. This is orange season and Pat set me up with a juicer, an orange bag to collect oranges and an invitation to juice as many as I wanted. Fresh squeezed orange juice, oranges picked that day? Heaven. MORE than worth the money. I’m looking forward to more stays here in the coming year.”

“Stars are based on price to value. We stayed in room 160. I was dreading the stay based in some reviews, but it was fine. Room was stocked, neat and orderly. No sign of any bugs. Room was as pictured. Breakfast was good. Everything was fresh and well stocked. It was a ADA room so larger than regular rooms I assume. Pool was clean. The place needs a really thorough cleaning, updated patio furniture, walkways need cleaning, better lighting. This isn't a vacation resort, but if you need simple accommodations in Clermont area, its fine. Early morning noises is true, but it's a travel stop, not a resort.”
