I truly appreciate the dedication he has to client education and my pet’s quality of life. This review wouldn’t complete without shouting out to Jennifer! The greatest dermatology technician I’ve known! They both go out of their way to provide positive reinforcement during the visit. They talk to Belle, give her allergy-friendly treats, and lots and lots of pets. Belle is a nervous girl but she gets excited about her dermatology visits.”

“I cannot begin to explain the goodness that is in each and every employee at the Animal Hospital of Lakewood Ranch. We’ve said goodbye to two of our dogs with them and the care, love and compassion the employees show us and our pups is so unconditional and so very appreciated. We’ve had some pretty brutal experiences with other veterinarian clinics in the area, but not this one. “I have not visited Dr. Small at his new location but when he practiced at Animal Hospital in Lakewood Ranch, he was our vet for approximately 10 years. During that time we had 4 different dogs with varying serious health issues. I have not had a more compassionate, gentle and professionally competent vet in my 40 years of dog ownership. When he left, I was led to believe he had relocated, so made no attempt to track him down but recently heard he is still in the area so will be calling immediately to see if he is taking “new” patients. By the way, I have been disappointed in the level of care with the group who took over when he left , but due to severe health issues myself, I stayed with them strictly for my own convenience. I cannot stress enough the personal and professional dedication Dr. Small exhibits to all his clients.”

“This was the first time I boarded my two dogs for a prolonged time period (let alone a new boarding facility). The staff was so compassionate and attentive to my pups. Unfortunately, on the second day my Standard Poodle had Diarrhea (likely due to anxiety associated with a new boarding facility) and I was so impressed that Natalya called me to make me aware of the situation and ask my directive on how to proceed. Based on the photographs shared on social media, I could tell my pups were having a blast. I am so happy to have found this facility as I can now travel without feeling bad that my dogs aren’t being taken care of! Thank you AAA Pet Resort!”

“Our 13 yr old beagle thinks she's a puppy and hurt her leg late in the evening. They got us in right away and assessed her. The nurse, the assistant, and the vet were all so kind and good with her - even sitting on the floor to make her more comfortable. “If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Dr. Sookra and Dr. Bozeman are absolutely amazing. My husband just retired from the Army a year ago. So that of course means we have seen MANY vets over the years. One of our dogs is 15 yrs old and was diagnosed with a bad heart condition around the same time as we were leaving the Army and moving to the area. We have never had this kind of amazing, compassionate and loving care for our pets before. They go above and beyond. In fact they even saved my mothers dogs life. Called in for an urgent appointment. After I explained what was going on, Mrs. Sookra immediately knew we had to take her to the emergency room instead. Good thing we did, because she was in emergency surgery within the hour. I will always recommend them to everyone.”

“Hello guys! Last night our huge Rottweiler boy Howie was extremely sick, had a diarrhea, blood in the watery stool and couldn’t poop at all… we didn’t sleep the whole night and were worried about our 123 lb baby, I called to Suncoast Animal Clinic in the morning and they taken us for the exam as an emergency case, the Dr. and staff were helping us and provided IV fluids, prescribed antibiotics, the Doctor tried to pull the poop out or it was might be a piece of a approved pet’s treat bone, and the Dr. gave all the necessary suggestions, they worked as a very good team. Long story short, my dog felt much better in an hour, we came back home and he did his business and slept later in a better condition. The whole thing cost: exam, meds, IV and we got canned food for his recovery $167. I think it’s affordable, thank you Suncoast Animal Clinic! We Do appreciate the help! Good luck with everything! Their prices aren’t bad compared to other vets and every technician and vet I have spoken with I have had a great experience with As well. I probably have 10 vet office I pass to get to this one and it is worth it! Edit : 10/31/20 Still nothing but great things to say about this vet! My dog had a minor surgery months ago and they were amazing with keeping us updated on everything going on. When I was having concerns after the surgery the technicians were so personable when I was worried and just made me feel so at ease. I live 30 minutes away and past so many vet offices to get here and I will keep on doing it!”
