“My late grandfather, Rev. Charles H. Covey (wife Hazel), was the pastor of this church starting in the summer of 1967. I was 12 years old then and was known as Margie Freeman. I spent the entire summer living with them in the old 3-room parsonage. I knew "Mr. Jasper" Crowley as well as his brother and sister-in-law. Mr. Jasper supplied us with fresh milk every other day. Many fond memories were made that summer. I wrote this review just as a bit of history. My home is now in Port Charlotte.”

“Currently a William Hartman exhibit of photos and paintings. There are many beautiful landscape watercolors of old Sarasota and Michigan, his home state. Hartman was important in the art movement in Sarasota in the 1950s. There are about 25 paintings and photographs. The exhibit ends on March 28.”

“Our 2 1/2 year old has been dealing with reoccurring ear infections for a little over a year now. We were finally referred to an ENT - we happened to end up seeing Dr. Trowbridge. She recommended we get tubes for our daughter. I was immediately overcome by anxiety, but the team at Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist - and Dr. Trowbridge made the process easy. After the surgery, our daughter has been a completely different person. It's like all the pain and discomfort she had been dealing with for a year was truly making her cranky. Now fingers crossed we don't have to deal with anymore ear infections and it's only the required follow ups. It has made me so happy to see my baby girl happy and more comfortable. “My family of 5 biked the Legacy Trail and it was awesome. I have 3 teenage boys, and they truly enjoyed this. We rode to Venice Beach area and ate at a restaurant on the water. The trails were really pretty, plenty of places to use the bathroom and fill up water. The e-bikes were perfect!”

“Villa #F3. Wow! Perfect villa for our family of 5. Unbelievable location- about a 3 minute walk to the bay and 5-6 walk to the beautiful beach. The bay is perfect for morning coffee and viewing wildlife. We saw dolphins and manatees almost every day. The beach was perfect. Private access made it not overly busy so we had plenty of room to enjoy. We used both private pools. They were warm and clean. The property keeps everything in pristine condition. Really impressive. Almost feels like a high-end resort. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed. Totally updated and it feels like a brand new build. We loved the decor and had every necessity we needed (even an air fryer!). The kids loved the kids’ room. The bunk beds were absolutely perfect. They were a really smart addition. We used the desk for kids activities the one day it rained. It would be a nice area to get some work done if needed as well. The extra daybed in the lanai was used everyday. The outside storage was full of beach stuff. We used the wagon, chairs, umbrellas, and toys. It also had a washer/dryer so we didn’t have to pack a bunch of bags. Laundry was a huge benefit, especially with kids. The location of the villa is really perfect. We were close to tons of dining options- many within walking distance. With a very short drive, we were on the north village with all sorts of dining and entertainment options. We would recommend this villa without question. We will definitely be back (hopefully every year from now on). You won’t find a more updated villa in this area. Truly a great experience for our family!!”

“Okay, I had super low expectations for a beachside “concession stand”-like lunch spot. We were happily shocked with the food quality. My husband and I split a wrap with fries. The wrap had fresh guacamole salsa that was lovely. Others in our party had fish tacos, chicken tenders, and a hot dog. The fries were typical, but hot, crispy, not too greasy goodness, so that’s a win. It was around $83 for 6 of us and it was far better than any fast food restaurant hands down. One of our orders was given the wrong side (tortilla chips instead of fries, but they swapped them out). The concrete picnic tables are obviously uncomfortable on the bum, but highly necessary for beachside dining. They were shaded from the sun, but not so clean. I put sanitizer on napkins and tried to wipe them off. All in all, we were pleased and enjoyed the food.”

“I recently had a treatment done at a medspa in tampa that left me with a black eye a week before a big event. I did some research and found out that Dr Callahan’s office had a vbeam laser, which helps speed up bruising. I called her office (as a new patient) and they treated the situation with urgency and got me in immediately. Dr Callahan and her staff were unbelievably amazing. They used the vbeam, which helped tremendously and offered tips on makeup I could buy on Amazon or Sephora that could help conceal it further. I’m so appreciative of how I was treated and will definitely return in the future. I would highly recommend Dr Callahan to everyone looking for a highly skilled and compassionate dermatologist. The highlight were the manatees that followed us back in and hung out right next to us. Midnightpass beach was gorgeous and fun for a stop to swim!
