“Originally called a local restoration company that we previously used for a construction project and had done excellent work, to use their handyman services. It was for a job that should have been a simple task of reversing our patio vertical blinds. A simple task turned into a project of completely disassembling the track and ultimately causing the blinds to no longer function properly after reassembly. We chose not to have them return to try to correct the error because we did not feel confident in their ability or knowledge to do so. We decided to contact The Villages warranty office to find out who did the original installation. They referred us to Great Lakes Carpet & Tile in Wildwood. We were afraid the job would be too small for them, but contacted them anyway. Glad we did! After explaining our situation, we were told that the way the original work we had done by the handyman was not necessary and most likely had damaged the track. They were more than willing to help us correct our situation, suggesting we replace the track to avoid any further problems. The attention we received from Debra Boone was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and empathetic to our situation. She had our track replaced right away for a great price. Our installers Ricky and George were also very professional and did an excellent job. We cannot be any more appreciative. We are very pleased. Overall great experience. We highly recommend them.”

“Mike Sloan and his crew saved us from a horrible major remodel nightmare on two bathrooms. In short, another contractor/designer who started work in mid-Sep 2017 just never showed up again after mid-Dec 2017 leaving us with a non-functioning bathroom i.e. no electric, toilet, cabinets, sinks, countertops, gaping area on one side showing the studs, etc. Said contractor also failed to pay for goods to be installed, not even counting how much we had already paid them for this unfinished fiasco. Please note, this contractor has shut down the business in Hernando Co. We were in contact with Mike and he sat down with us on 3 Jan 2018 to work up a plan and budget to get this project finished. The day after we spoke, Gemini was here installing the cabinets, a plumber, electrician and glass company were also here seeing what needed to be done. The granite company came on Friday. It was overwhelming to see just what can be accomplished with someone in charge who knows what project management really is. On Jan 17, 2018, just short of two weeks we had a functioning and 99% finished bathroom. The custom shower will be here within the week. My husband and I can't thank Mike and his people enough. They are conscientious, clean working, take pride in what they are doing but most of all fair to their clients. We highly recommend anyone considering cabinetry and general info on how to handle being your own project manager to sit down with Gemini, you will be very happy you did.”

But the other things that I got were not as important as those. But the insulation and paint and tool selection is really great. The customer service is okay, but the checkout goes nice and quick and everything is very clean in the store. And they have restrooms and parking, which is a added benefit.”

“5 star for how our couch and chair turned out. It took hours to take couch out of our RV because it was attached to the slide. They got the material is under 2 weeks and did a perfect job on the couch/sleeper. It was very difficult since couch has a slide out L section to it. They also did a repair on our captains chair. They are very reasonably priced and take pride in their work. Tom the owner is either hard of hearing or forget-full which is why they got knocked down a star. We had to reiterate several times we were living in our RV for the season & when they had it for the day we were in the car all day with 2 dogs. Highly recommend!! Before and after pictures …”

The original cabinets were of a style no longer made, and the Goddess Herself doesn't know where they came from. With some perseverance they got it done, and for a good price too. They are NOT a cookie cutter Kitchen & Bath outfit selling factory made cabinets - their cabinets are made onsite and are of good quality. Increasing the complexity of this particular job was the fact that I needed a cabinet with a double bottom to accommodate LED undercabinet lights - Ray knew exactly what I wanted and why. The "cookie cutter" store looked at me like I had 3 heads when I brought the subject up.”
