“I'll be honest, usually go to Whiskey Joe's or Hooters across the river but decided to go somewhere I haven't been. First impression walking up, typical Florida dive, not necessarily a bad thing. Interior appearance shows a good attempt, but if they brought in a designer, the setup they have could be amazing. On the edge of amazing, honestly. They had live music, and when I say live, I mean they had a man in front of a keyboard singing to canned music. Basic Yacht rock. He couldn't carry a tune if you put it in a bucket, just godawful, yet it was awesome. We sat in the outdoor covered bar area looking at the river, fantastic cross breezes, and watching boaters. Very relaxing. The wait staff was courteous. I had the banana bucket rum punch drink. It's really good. For food, we ordered appetizers first, the fried pickles and Gator tail nuggets. The pickles were thinning sliced, lightly breaded, and fried to a perfect crispness. The Gator tail came in a basket with fries and coleslaw. I had to call the waitress over to ask who made it, if it was done here, or if they ordered it in. I'll tell you that Gator is one of my favorite indulgences. I've had it all over Florida and in New Orleans. This was the absolute BEST I have ever had. The tenderness was nearly indescribable. Even the best prepared Gator has a little chew to it. This was melt in your mouth perfection. The seasoning was on point, not too heavily breaded and fried perfectly. I could have eaten my weight in it. Next up, the boom boom shrimp. Served on a bed of mixed greens, these little nuggets mirror their cousins bang bang shrimp from bone fish only better. Not overly spicy but a delicious sweet tangy flavor. Wrapped it up with the blackened grouper sandwich and coleslaw. It was the second serving of coleslaw, which was ok. Not great, not bad. The grouper, however, was simply amazing. Light, flaky, and not overly seasoned. Best Grouper I've had in a while. Next time, I'll just order the dinner plate instead of the sandwich because grouper that good doesn't need the bread. The downside is that the kitchen and service are a little slow, but once the food started coming, it was definitely worth the wait. They're definitely going to need more staff once people figure out that not only is the food fantastic, the prices are good too! I'll be back. A lot.”

Great selection of Florida breweries (IPA, porter, ales, spicy and cider) and perfect mimosas. They are famous for their pizza and appetizers so got some of everything. The banging shrimp were to die for, truffle tater tots were cooked perfectly. The pizza was so good and they used a fire oven. There was live entertainment when we went, on a Sunday at around noon. He was playing the steel drums and was really good. Lots of seating in and outdoors. We really enjoyed this place. Will be back for sure. PS their shirts are really cool to.”

“We had a nice lunch on a Friday, in September 2023 at Drifters Riverfront Bar & Grill. We sat at a nice window seat down stairs, over looking the docks and the river. There was even a nice view of the bridge. I will keep this review to the downstairs itself, as we never went up onto the rooftop bar. We arrived and went into the dining room downstairs, where we were told to seat ourselves. We chose the window seat as the river and such view, gave it a nice atmosphere. We had a wonderful waitress named Cat. She was a delight to meet and be our server. The wife ordered clams and I went with chicken wings and a nice cold Yuengling. The food was pretty good. So yes we would return when in the area. I made the mistake of ordering ten wings, which filled my belly. But had I only ordered five wings, I could have had a nice slice of peanut butter pie. My bad. We sat and ate watching the water traffic, as well as the rumble when traffic crossed the bridge. We had two boats and a small personal water craft, visit the docks at drifters for some food and drink. So we finished, paid the bill and were on our way. But silly us. We walked away and left an item in plain sight at our table. But Cat chased us out to the parking lot to make sure it was returned. I told you she was wonderful. She saved us a drive back to retrieve it. And if you read this Cat, thank you for everything. All in all, Drifters is not perfect. But it is what we expected and went there for in the first place. It's a nice eatery with lots of character and scenery, decent food at a fair price. It's not five star dining. But its a nice place for an enjoyable meal if you prefer comfortable and enjoyable over a fancy five star experience.”

I was greeted, but it could have been better. Upon asking about the food, it was like pulling teeth. Could have explained the menu and help with the options and get me a bit more interested in what they offered. Then, when she started to explain, she was flying through everything and I could barely hear her. The bottom line is, amp up the customer service and be a bit more friendly and welcoming. On the other hand, I purchased the curry chicken, peas n rice, and cabbage. Got home and saw that I had a plate full of rice and cabbage, no plantains(at least 2 small pieces) 1drumstick cut in half, half of a half of thigh and a small bone or two that was chopped up when they cut the chicken. That pissed me off, because $10.42 at least let me get a whole chicken leg quarter, two legs or something, is all I'm saying.”

“I gave it 5 stars because it is one of the nicest hotels in Daytona. Daytona beach area is one of the older beach areas and it is going through renovations to improve the area. Again, 5 stars given because it is one of the nicest hotels in the area and ideally located right on the boardwalk. I did not give it 5 stars because it is an absolutely beautiful hotel, but it is nice and, in my opinion, the best place to stay in the area. Not to say it is not well kept. It is worth staying at. We saw one of their free weekend concerts at the outside beach amphitheatre followed by fireworks. A very nice surprise.”

“I’m so glad I took my girl here on our first date. The place doesn’t look like much but it is a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and the sushi was the best we’ve ever had! Lily was our server and she is super sweet. We ordered maki combo b, passion roll, Sakura roll, and lava roll and they were all a perfect balance of simple and more complex flavors. I was expecting them to all come out separately but they surprised us with this beautiful plate! I was so impressed and appreciative that red plum went above and beyond to give us an amazing night!
