Just south of the Courthouse from the "My Cousin Vinny" movie is this hidden treasure.
This place may appear unassuming, but it has a gigantic heart.
I was invited to breakfast by a church member of mines. I wasn't sure what I should order, primarily because I really don't do breakfast. But he asked for some pancakes which I didn't see in the window. I was quickly informed that they are made to order on the griddle.
Just know if you visit for breakfast and don't get the pancakes, you have robbed yourself of the "Golden Ticket". Those other pancakes restaurants don't even come close to these.
The hospitality is A-1. You wouldn't be treated better if you were in a 10-star restaurant. Ms. Liz convinced me to order lunch just by her polite manner and wonderful character. The amazing things was I didn't even finish my breakfast, but I bought lunch to take home.
The price is another wonderful highlight.
Additionally, this is a Veteran Owned business. A Navy man just like myself. He's gone home to be with the Lord, but his wife and family seem to be holding it down.
If you anywhere near Jackson, GA, do yourself a favor and drop in.
Southern cooking served cafeteria style. It’s not fancy, but we’ll worth stopping for if you like down home cooking!
I am so glad I found Hunter’s Cafe! Driving back to Fayette County from Oconee, I was hoping to find a good local spot for breakfast and boy, did I hit the jackpot!
Wonderful country cooking reminded my of my grandmothers cooking as a child. Heather was so sweet and rest of the ladies there were very nice as well.
Excellent selection of all of your southern favorites for breakfast. The prices are very fair and tue food was perfect.
I tried a pancake - amazing! For one it’s about as large as the plate but the texture is the just right balance between light and fluffy (not thick and dense) with a buttery sweet taste and crispy edge.
If you like tasty friendly county dining you’ve gotta give Hunter’s Cafe a try. Next time I’m in town I’m definitely stopping by.
Big things come in small places!
The ladies behind the counter are awesome! They got my order out fast and with a smile.
U can tell this place is more than home cooking... the ladies in the back will serenade u while cooking ur food with love
Been a southerner most of my life... never found a restaurant that serves real tomato gravy.
I got 2 eggs scrambled with cheese, taste tots, biscuit n tomato gravy, a pics of Boneless chicken and a drink for less than $10
We're staying at Indian Springs State Park and saw this restaurant listed as a good place to eat. We stopped by this morning before going to hike and found their breakfast fulfilling. The staff was nice and welcoming. If you're ever in the area, stop by and get a bite to eat!
