Pleasant feelings after visiting this nature preserve park. Very quiet and peaceful environment. Full of long trees with small bridges along the trails. Two tree different trails are there. We walk through just one trail. Direction Signs are not visible and accurate. Scenic views are scattered on this park small water creeks are there. Not children friendly and stroller friendly trails. If you need quite environment and peaceful atmosphere must visit this park.
Cool nature center with a multitude of activity cottages and trails to spend a day with the little ones. The main visitors center has an indoor center with aquariums of fishes and local animals, the highlight being the tortoise. There is also some gigantic bunnies and chickens to view. To the side is an outdoor campfire circle and we liked viewing the old equipment in the small farm museum.
This is a hidden gem. I have been here twice and each time I saw something different. When walking the trails be careful of the tree roots in the path. This is a wonderful alternative to the playground. You and the children learn and embrace the beauty of nature while getting some exercise. I’m looking forward to walking the trails this fall when the leaves are gone.
It is a beautiful area. Seems pretty well maintained. Only downfall in my opinion are all the tree roots coming up in the way of the paths. Makes it difficult to see the beauty of the area and pay attention to every step in most areas on the trails.
