“We had a great diner, very delicious and very tasty. First we got fried calamari, then the trio meal and local catch. For desert we got a pineapple cake. We had a pineapple martini as a drink and it was strong and also very tasty and sweet. I loved the food and the drink. I am very picky and usually don’t finish the food and leave a lot. Here I ate everything it was that good!!! I have a strong sweet tooth and my favorite was the pineapple cake :)”

“We checked out Kahuku Shrimp Truck based on the recommendations of locals. It didn’t disappoint. Pricing is very reasonable per plate (you’ll spend around $15/person) and the portions are generous. I was impressed with the amount of shrimp they give you. I ordered the garlic shrimp and steak and my wife had the garlic shrimp and hot shrimp. I thought the garlic shrimp was awfully tasty however I wasn’t told the shrimp weren’t shelled so that was a little messy. The steak was okay. There wasn’t much flavor and it was pretty chewy. My wife preferred the hot shrimp to the garlic shrimp. I thought the heat level on the shrimp was medium. The people are friendly and there is ample seating outside (with coverage if it’s raining).”

We’ve tried the white pizza with spinach and garlic, the pepperoni, and the impossible Hawaiian. I can’t name a favorite! Service is about as quick as you can expect from a food truck making you fresh pizza, and the owner is very kind and patient!”

“This was a great experience. We paid for the upgrade which included round trip bus transport, free photos, first grouping to get food. The bus ride was for the most part good nothing really stood out. The got us there and back safely. The food was good. However my only issue of the night was the seating. I cannot stand wooden bench seating and that is exactly what we got in the form of wooden picnic tables. The blue Hawaiian was awesome. I did drink it virgin style. Very happy with the experience.”

“The Starbucks at the Waianae mall is no longer alone. Welcome to the new addition. It's a drive-thru and a walk-up. I don't think I've ever been to a walk-up only Starbucks before. No inside seating. No bathroom. The outside is nice with some seats. Covered with trestles(I think?). I hope they get some plants on those eventually. Experience? Fantastic. It's Starbucks. I love the coffee. The guy who helped me was super nice and the drink was delicious. And... this Starbucks has gotta have one of the best views of any Starbucks on the planet!”

“Hole in the wall Filipino restaurant in Whitmore Village. Aesthetically it's not the cutest place but that's how you know there's gonna be some good, authentic, homemade food in there. First time here even though I'm a Wahiawa native. They sell ala cart, by the plate, and platters. It looks like lots of people ordered ahead for platters which I will also do myself the next time. I went a couple hours before closing so the food didn't look fresh but we enjoyed it. Salty and savory food that hits the spot and wear something comfy cause it'll definitely be kanaks after.”

“AMAZING!! Waiahole Nursery and Garden Center made all the floral arrangements for my wedding and they truly went above and beyond! From the beginning, Katie, Karen, and Patty were super responsive, organized, and a pleasure to work with. I sent them what I wanted to order and a basic color scheme then let them work their magic. I was beyond happy with how the arrangements looked - they were absolutely gorgeous. The flowers elevated the venue to the next level and I was in love with my bridal bouquet. They delivered everything to the venue and set everything up. They even included a couple of touches that I had not thought to order, like a few flowers on a swing at my venue for example. These are some of the nicest people I have worked with and they do such beautiful work. I'm so lucky I found them and I would recommend them to anyone looking for flowers on Oahu.”

My father and law enjoyed his cheeseburger and fries. My partner thought the seafood primavera was okay and my mother in law thought the chicken Parmesan was also okay. “These four stars totally belong to the service team. Our visit included some awesome service and I couldn’t praise them more. The food is okay, about what can be expected from a chain restaurant. The spicy crispy chicken was a bit gristly and the buffalo sauce was much overdone, like the cooks got excited that someone ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. The building is pretty antiquated with 1970ish style and missing ceiling tiles, I presume from water leaks. All in all, the service is what made this visit pleasant.”
