“A well maintained multi-functional park along the Greenbelt bicycle track on the south side of Boise River. Easy access from Parkcenter Boulevard. Sufficiently spacious field for many activities such as soccer practice. Nice playground and courts of sand volleyball, basketball, and tennis.”

“Nice, quiet park. Been here several times, usually only 1 or 2 people with their kids. Lots of open space and trees if you have dogs. I wouldn't recommend letting off leash as it's not fenced and there is a somewhat busy street on one side. It's right next to a school. 1 tree parking lot nobody seems to ever park under, so good for napping! They have individual bathrooms which are nice and clean. Sign outside says they auto lock after 7pm.”

“Too bad Boise Parks and Rec didn't check the quality of the volleyball sand before they signed off on it. It's full of dust and nearly unplayable. Everything else about this park is pure heaven. Mature trees, grassy fields, basketball courts, tennis and pickle ball court. Picnic structure is shady and huge to accommodate multiple medium sized groups or a larger community event. Playground is modern and new with rubber safety ground cover.”

“Just wanted to you know how pleased my family and I were with the good folks at Cloverdale. Lance arranged everything for my aunt’s funeral and he was kind, compassionate and efficient. Thank you to everyone at Cloverdale for your kindness and professionalism at a difficult time. Nobody wants to have to use a funeral home but if I know anyone who needs the services of a funeral home I will be happy to recommend Cloverdale.”

“Barber Park is a great place for people to go rafting, paddle boarding, and other various water sports. It opened for wrapping up to June 27th this year (2022) - The water was literally ice cold when we were there in mid July. There were no places that I saw for picnicking but there is a walkway alongside the river and some restaurants.”

“Great little park. Clean restrooms. It does have off leash times for dogs, so be mindful of that if that's something you or your child isn't comfortable with.”

“Beauty Beauty Beauty.. that's all there is to know. A quick get a way place to go for the day or for a few days! A quiet piece of time reserved just for you. A must try. Be aware however! Places of such peace and quiet don't last long for the picking. With so many new people moving into this beautiful state of Idaho it's going to be hard to find peaceful places. Go while you still can. 😁”

“Great, short(ish) hike that is fairly populated. Folks should know that: 1) a lot of locals and their off-lead dogs hike here (and are super friendly); 2) we did the ascent in 30 minutes and it's a good short heart ❤️ pumper in portions; and 3) if it's been raining, the Old Pen track can be super silty/slick/steep in parts; if it's been dry, it's super dusty/slide-y. Because of the latter, we chose to head right ("Old Pen Trail") at the start of the hike to take the steep parts on the ascent, and take the upper trail (Table Rock #15) on the descent (more rocks, less slippery). We did this as a brief hike before a long car ride home, but next time we'll explore the off-shoots (quarry trail, tram trail, etc) and make it longer. Views of Boise and mountain ranges in distance were fantastic.”

“Great park in Boise along the water. Great views by day or night. Many out walking as well as biking. There is a lot of interesting history posted along the trail about the Davis family for those that also enjoy learning about the history. Miles worth of trails to enjoy. Paved surfaces are perfect for bikes and strollers.”

“Nice park. Water was refreshing on a hot day. Great place to spend an afternoon and picnic/grill. Bathroom facilities were fairly awful and are in desperate need of renovation.”

“This is such a beautiful little area. The roses smelled amazing. I didn't see any signs not to walk on the grass, but I wish they would've have some signs that would say whether or not it was allowed. We wanted to walk to one of the waterfalls but couldn't get to it without walking on the grass. Other than that, it was pretty breathtaking. Someone left bananas with a note on one of the benches, so that was a nice touch. Really beautiful people here.”

“Really pretty path that goes along a cliff-like drop into a mostly-dry creekbed. We walked, but bikes were on the trail. We got there later in the evening, which was a lot more comfortable than the day's high which was almost 100. The area has a nice peak, which had a great panoramic view.”

“Each and every time I have visited Lucky Peak and its lovely vicinity, I have never wanted to leave it! Then, as a growing child/youth back in the Seventies and Eighties, AND especially enough, NOW as a grown woman who lives for much adventure and the outdoors as much as it's possible!!! Lucky Peak rocks!!!”

“Access to some flatwater that flows through Blackrock canyon. No goose poop! Facilities are in good shape. Park has a poorly placed volleyball court... One side is under a pine tree which litters the sand with needles, bark, and other pokey unpleasantness”

“Middle cove is adjacent to Barclay Bay located just southeast of Lucky Peak Dam. It is only 15 minutes away from Boise. The beach is easily accessible from the parking area by going down stairs. There are shelters up near the parking lot and also down by the stairs, picnic tables, grills and clean restrooms on the spot. I used to go there with my friends for picnic. The calm beautiful scenery here is just mesmerizing. If you are in Boise, It is a must place to visit.”
