“We have a 20 year family tradition of getting our Christmas trees from the Pine Patch. Getting a great tree is only part of the experience though. Roasting marshmallows and chestnuts while waiting is a blast as is just hanging around the fire visiting with people waiting for their trees to be brought up is a lot of fun. “Wow, what a great store, especially for a small town. You can get whatever you need, literally. Lots of fishing supplies, camping, and whatever you are looking for, I’m sure you will find it here. They even have a great little cafe, with killer food. Prices are all reasonable as well. The staff are all very nice and helpful. My new go to store here, while visiting horseshoe bend. “One of my favorite stores ever and a must-visit for Idaho City!! It's on Main Street just around the corner from the Walulla Coffee Shop. 🥇Such a wide assortment of fun stuff, 🎁 great gifts, beautiful jewelry I love, gemstones, decorative mountain - themed items, cool Christmas ornaments, funny vintage-type tin signs, shirts, sweatshirts, fox tails, aprons, kitchen towels and so much more... I have a bracelet, ring, earrings, wall signs and huckleberry jam purchased there. They have a free "Idaho City Jail" photo booth with various cowboy hats as props. 🤩 Super nice owners that work there. No bathroom because they have no water since a fire a few years back, but it's a short walk to the public restrooms at the Visitors Center down the road that are always open.”

“We enjoyed the hot springs pool and the Cafe so much! Great hospitality, great food, and the pool was fab. The different temperatures of the pool were so enjoyable for my kids to explore, and it was lovely to have a "shallow" section and life jackets for my non-swimmers. We can't come back soon enough!”

We loved the steak, chicken quesadilla and duck sausage. For dessert we enjoyed chocolate mouse cake and tapioca pudding topped with fruit. “I love stopping in at different antique and thrift stores. This one is in a very old and drafty building, but it didn’t matter. You can tell the very friendly owner have been working hard to clean and organize the store as well as putting in juice/coffee bar. I love to find secret treasures to decorate my home & myself, and to find things for gifting to others that I think they would enjoy. I design and make jewelry, so I appreciate the talents of other jewelry makers. I found 3 pieces that I loved, and considered taking a photo of them to make at sometime for myself and possibly to create some similar ones to sell or gift to others, but because the prices were so fair, I chose to purchase them. Now I can wear these today, and still make more later if I wish. I will definitely come back to see how much the store changes as time goes by and possibly make more purchases when I go through Idaho City again someday! “All the essentials and then some. We had been on the road for two weeks and were getting low on supplies. This store has so many great essentials efficiently organized into a small space. The produce selection is small but extensive; We found a package of perfectly ripened strawberries and a fresh tomato to brighten up a couple of our meals. Definitely worth a stop with friendly and helpful staff willing to share local knowledge. We also had a strong cell signal here (with AT&T as our provider).”

“I spoke with the owner a long time last summer, and while she doesn't want to be known as "The New Ellie's Store" or associated with Ellie's in that way, she does want to make sure everyone knows they are open for business! It is a fantastic little store, with some basic food/supplies (standard convenient store prices, didn't notice any gouging at all), a little Café, a camping section, I reality office, and an area for consignments! Anyone in the area can bring items to sell here now! My wife and I spent about half an hour here checking it out and talking with the new owners, I highly encourage everyone else to do so also!”
