“To start, the food choice I had for dinner was a flat iron steak with a small garden salad. The salad was very nicely presented and good to eat with the balsamic vinaigrette and getting the medium rare flat iron steak was presented with the right temperature although the flavor was barely there in freshness. Going for the vibe of the place, I was met with some other customers around their 60's who lived around the area on the 27th of February and although I tried to make small talk, it didn't avail much and if you're usually alone, it's best to enjoy the food with those whom you know. Otherwise, everyone was friendly and the vibe which I sensed was very calm and an overall positive atmosphere. In conclusion, the area was clean, the server was friendly and the food in which I give my verdict, is around 4 stars rating because of feeling the steak could be better prepared with some ingredients of crushed garlic and the usual salt and pepper if massaged into the steak. But for the restaurant? They're great! I would definitely look forward to seeing them again.”

“Wow, what a great store, especially for a small town. You can get whatever you need, literally. Lots of fishing supplies, camping, and whatever you are looking for, I’m sure you will find it here. They even have a great little cafe, with killer food. Prices are all reasonable as well. The staff are all very nice and helpful. My new go to store here, while visiting horseshoe bend. How did I never go in before, but I’m glad I did today. Killer food too, thanks guys. 2 BBQ beef sliders, with fries… $7.99. It was jammin, homemade, and I ate it as all! See you soon guys.”

“Stayed in the buck suite yurt. Was clean and as described. The road up is steep but doable in the summer. We enjoyed eating dinner down at the bar and all the staff was super friendly. The buck suite was the closest to the bar and the port-a-poti. The live music was great as well. See pictures for yurt locations from the bar. Had propane heat, but no electricity, so bring a lantern or lights.”

“We loved our dining experience inside with pleasant music, ponderosa pine tables, beautiful artwork. Lisa was friendly, attentive and we enjoyed great conversation. We loved the steak, chicken quesadilla and duck sausage. For dessert we enjoyed chocolate mouse cake and tapioca pudding topped with fruit. Definitely worth the trip to Idaho City where we enjoyed the afternoon”

“This place is decorated so adorable. It reminds me of the 70’s-80’s. I loved the old couch by the front door. We ordered the quesadilla, corn dogs and salads. We were very happy with the freshness and quality of the food. The view while we ate was looking over the river while kayakers were going by. I saw a little store inside but didn’t go in. I’ll be going again!”

“Absolutely amazing. We stopped here on our way home for lunch and the food was extremely good I got the red chicken enchiladas and the sauce was so amazing as well as the enchiladas themselves. Service was great and our waiter was beyond friendly and sweet. Haven’t had this good of Mexican food in a long time.”

“We stopped here on a whim while exploring Idaho since we just moved here. The staff was fantastic, super attentive and very polite and helpful. My husband and I both ordered burgers. The flavor of the burgers was great and they were cooked well super juicy. I got the potato soup which was the soup of the day and it was delicious. My husband had onion rings and they were really good as well. The portion sizes were large and i6 ended up taking food home. I also got a piece of pumpkin cheesecake to go and that was amazing. We love about an hour away but will definitely visit again next time we're in Idaho City.”
