“I love the path through the preserve for running. It's covered with finely crushed gravel, so it's easier on the joints than pavement. And I'm more likely to see deer than humans on the trail. All Grass Farms is also there, so I can buy fresh eggs after.”

“Another hidden treasures of the City of Elgin. Hidden just East of State Street and Route 20 is a very nice park. It is well maintained with a shelter, volleyball sand, kids playground, concrete "bags" toss ramps, and porta potty. It also has a baseball backstop, grill, and over 15 acres of open grassy field.”

“Great take to take a little one to run around and cool off on a hot day. When all done let then dry by playing on the playground and swingset. I'd recommend having your child wear water shoes through as sometimes small rocks get in the splash area and you don't want them stepping on that.”
