The Lantern in The Gardens at SIUE

Address: Cougar Lake Rd, Edwardsville, IL 62025, USA

Park

“Very peaceful spot on SIUE campus. The pond has lots of turtles and deer walk around in the woods frequently. I love the pine trees and many places to sit.”

Brent Leh Dog Park

Address: 328 Olive St, Edwardsville, IL 62025, USA

Park

“Great dog park! Full turf with a long fenced in area for the dogs to play fetch in and run around. There are doggie bag stations lining the fence for when your dog makes a mess. The gate is a two stage entry which let's you enter the first gate, remove your dog's leash and then go through the second into the dog park. This is great because it gives you a chance to get the leash off without other pups jumping all over your own dog and you! Oliver, my wife and I all love this park!”

Hoppe Park

Address: 1500 Tower Ave, Edwardsville, IL 62025, USA

Edwardsville Township Community Park

Address: 6368 Center Grove Rd, Edwardsville, IL 62025, USA

Park

“I have been coming to this park since I was a kid, and it has always been one of the best in the area. You have a lot of open space in the way of fields for soccer, frisbee, football, etc. You also have 2 large playgrounds for different ages as well as a roller hockey rink, a wooded walking path in the back, several pavilions with grills for rent, and a Gaga ball pit. The park is always well-maintained and clean. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy a park.”

Bohm Woods Nature Preserve

Address: Bohm School Rd, Edwardsville, IL 62025, USA

Park

“Trail heads north downhill from the parking lot and turns in a westerly direction. Private property borders the trail to the east but the boundaries are well marked. The trail dead ends so you will need to return the same way unless you decide to explore some. The preserve has some pretty steep hills and ravines and there are a large number of downed trees. Must have been a heck of a storm.”

Leon Corlew Park & Splash Pad

Address: 337 S Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025, USA

Park Amusement park

“It is closed now for the season. I got to bring my 11mo here once while it was running. It is a nice, new slash pad. Wish there were smaller/weaker fountains for my LO, who cant walk yet, to play in.”

SIUE Cross-Country Course

Address: N University Dr, Edwardsville, IL 62025, USA

Park

“Great course! Wooded trail with some shade. Several hills and multiple chances to see the runners throughout the race. Nice open area but little shade in the holding/staging so being a canopy and cooler with cold drinks.”

The Watershed Nature Center

Address: 1591 Tower Ave, Edwardsville, IL 62025, USA

Park

“This was a great place to take a walk and see lots of Canada Geese, woodpeckers, red winged blackbirds, bluebirds, and cardinals. Look at the mud for some deer and raccoon prints. There are educational placards about common snakes in Illinois, plenty of benches scattered throughout and some lookout spots. The native plants are lovely even in late fall and are probably a sight to see in spring. The reeds are a hiding spot for birds, including the woodpecker.”

The Gardens at SIUE

“PokèStops and gyms through the whole path..!”
