I'm a nurse and being said I'm picky on where I stay and lay my head down. So believe me when I say that this place is an excellent choice. Its an excellent choice!!!! Nothing compares to being at home but here feels pretty close to home. It's very clean, you always have everything you need without asking, fresh coffee every morning, and a great continental breakfast, and most importantly GREAT Owner's and employees that treat you as family and NOT just a nother customer. “This is such a terrific place, it was perfect for our one-night stay. My wife and I wanted to go visit Scratch Brewery, so we were looking for a place sort of nearby. The innkeepers Julia and George are truly delightful people, very kind and attentive; and Julia is an outstanding cook. The room was so nice and the bed comfortable. We had a relaxing time sitting on the spacious back porch and going to the White Rooster Farmhouse Brewery a short walk away. I am often quite picky about where I stay, and I found no fault whatever in The Orchid House. We will definitely be back again.”

“I stayed there in August of 2021. It was much nicer than I was expecting. The rooms are very similar to national budget chains. Staff was very friendly. The price was terrific, great location, and very nice staff. My room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was always there to help. It was also very quiet. Right across the street from two good restaurants. I would stay there again.”

“Mike called after we made the reservation and let me know my check for the deposit arrived. He called on day of arrival so he’d be there when we checked in and with advice how to get there the best route (through St. Louis). Nice and quiet campground which was nice after being at the American Grand where it was noisy. Good location for us.”
