“Its seems like a very nice place to stay. My 2 issues were 1-with 2 young girl (children) who were very rude as i was throwing trash out. They were holdin there fingers up like guns yelling at me to give them all my money, each time i had to walk past them. 2- loud barking dogs locked inside of the trailer closest to the dumpster scared me. They barked the entire time and growled at me when i went to the dumpster. Who ever owns this place needs to do better background checks before letting people live there!!!”

“Great little Will county forest preserve district campground. No electricity but there is drinking water and latrines on site. The wooded sites can each accommodate 6 tents and it's arranged so that most tents can have their own little space. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. There's a central area of mowed grass out in the open which is 2 more campsites that you can put multiple tents on. There are some short walking/equestrian trails and a nature center in the preserve. It's clean and maintained. And I was the one there camping on a Friday and Saturday night in June! The wooded sites are not drive-up so a wagon came in handy.”

“It is peaceful, clean & quiet. The owner & his wife are really nice people. The owner cleans the rooms himself, they don't hire outside help. It actually is nicer BECAUSE they do the cleaning . The ONLY thing you might not like is if you are a person that NEEDS that morning coffee either in your room or at the office/front desk. There is none BUT THERE ARE PLENTY OF PLACES NEARBY TO GET YOUR MORNING CUP OF JOE! I stayed there 6 months and had a very nice stay! Thank You Dan for that ! It is a cute little ma & pa place, something you would see in Wisconsin or the country. It is 1 floor high with I think 18 rooms all in a row & parking right in front of your door! GO & ENJOY. I promise you'll have a pleasant stay, TELL DAN JAYMEE SENT YOU!!!! 😬”

“I really appreciate all of the hard work and thought that went into the renovations of this historic hotel/bar in my hometown. I can tell that so much thought went into every detail. While I haven’t tried the food or drinks yet I will say that I was impressed by everything else they had to offer so I’m sure the consumables will be impressive as well. My dad designed and crafted the bar the last time they renovated the hotel and I was happy to see it still being used. The hotel was clean and bright and I’ve never seen it that way in the past. Again, very impressed and happy we stopped in!”

“We spent five nights at the amazing Timmermann House in Aviston, IL. The innkeeper, Sandy is the ultimate professional. Such an authentically nice person. Her husband Andy, also so lovely, has great stories and made me want to sit and talk to him for days!! :) This place is a gem and MUST VISIT destination. The house is pristine and decorated so beautifully. The hard wood floors are immaculate and the bedrooms are super inviting and cozy. The house is a wonderful place to stay but then you go to breakfast and you are transported to culinary heaven. Chef Sandy is brilliant. Her food is perfection. She makes different dishes each day of your stay based on your preferences she obtains when you book your trip. The food is always fresh, mostly from their own garden. I can't even describe how amazing our whole experience was. The house is located very near many townships but it is so quiet and peaceful tucked away on a nice plot of acreage. The yard is massive and landscaped so beautifully. The minute you arrive, everything is just perfect down to every detail. I recommend booking early and request the bedroom with en suite bathroom. The king size bed is so comfortable and the linens / towels are 5 star hotel quality! The house has a beautiful outdoor deck overlooking the yard with shade cover. I could go on and on but really this was the best hospitality we have ever experienced. 10 out of 10 definitely would recommend!!!”

“This is a great hotel. The bed was very comfy and the room was perfect size. I was staying here for 1 night and although I didn’t spend too much time in the hotel, the experience was great. The staff was very helpful and kind! The showers were a bit dirty and it was a bit difficult to get in our room with the keycard. We had to get a staff to help us. The elevator is also really slow and there’s no nearby stairs on our floor. Other than that, the experience was great and the staff is very friendly.”

“If I could make one small suggestion: offer coffee in the mornings; either by a breakfast bar or coffee makers in the rooms. That being said, a solid 4 stars! Motel is off the main hwy and very easily found. Single rooms are quaint, clean and quiet. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely recommend Goetten's Sierra Motel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced place to rest your head for the night.”
