“My boyfriend and I were looking for a hotel/motel who would let 18 y/o get a room. They let us. Really chill we smoked all night and nobody said anything. We ran out of cups and needed towels and they gave it too us and was very nice asking if we needed anything else. Rooms could’ve been cleaner but you get what you pay for. Someone knocked on our door at 930am and asked if we wanted him to clean and we said we were about to leave so he said he would come back. very very nice people. I recommend it especially if you don’t want to be worried about any strict rules or need somewhere just to hang out because the prices were very good”

“If you have young kids or no kids this is an awesome place. But my teens were frustrated because they have to be 18 to use game room, pool, paddle boats etc and having a young baby too I couldn't do all the things they wanted. The camp ground was very strict about the rules. My husband did like the fishing and kids love the jump pillow.”

“Couldn’t have a better stay! Very quiet place to stay. Rooms are very clean and have plenty of kitchen items. Cleaning staff is very nice and will go out of way to make sure your room is clean. Chris at the front desk puts a smile on my face and has dealt with me booking every other couple days considering my situation and has gone above and beyond to make my stay pleasant. If you are in middle of moving or dealing with life changes I recommend mainstays for long term stays! Location is great, lots of parking, clean facilities and rooms.”

“So you are accustomed to staying in four-star hotels? Pull up in front of this 1955-era brick motel and you might be tempted to punch the accelerator back toward the interstate. Then you would miss out on one of the last remaining real bargains in the USA. Clean if spartan rooms, refrigerator and microwave, satellite tv and a self-service laundry only a few steps away, all for only $49.95 (tax included). We did not see any bugs except the normal insects common to an Illinois summer evening, all of them outdoors. We repeat and re-phrase: this place does not have roaches. We did not hear our neighbors nor any traffic noise. Dead quiet all night. It is a clean and cheap place to spend the night in the middle of rural America. Our family would certainly stay here again, given the opportunity.”

“Could not be happier with this campground, it's quaint I believe there are about 20 spots. Every spot is wonderful and spacious! And plenty of room for parking as well. We just got here a couple of days ago. But have been full time camping for almost 4 years now because of my husband's job as a contractor. So far this is the best campground we have been too. The lake and corn fields provide plenty of privacy and on top of it all there is fishing! If you're looking for a weekend getaway or something long term, the prices are very fair and you won't be disappointed!”

Last year we visited in late December and it was quite packed but the line kept moving, this year we decided to go late November and there was barely anyone there. We loved the show!!
