“This was the first time in a couple years, my wife and I had visited. The food was good and the portions were large. I had the fried pickles as an appetizer and a "Champion" grinder, both were excellent. I brought half my grinder home for lunch tomorrow. My wife had the fried portobello mushroom appetizer with the garlic chicken wrap, and fries on the side. She was happy and full when we left. It was a pleasant experience and will return. Some might consider the prices a little expensive, but I didn't find them out of the ordinary. I would and will suggest friends to give The Shady Nook a try.”

“What a treat! The original 'fish of Stroh' from my long ago childhood! Updated to fish tacos with siracha slaw. Amazing!! Locals just kept coming and going, and we all know that is a great review all by itself. Many other menu choices. Reasonable prices for the times. Nice size.orders Eat on the porch (enclosed in unfriendly weather) or on the go. Restroom before you come or at the nearby gas station.”

The staff is very kind and attentive they seem to be very involved with the community our lunch was good, definitely want to try them again, it was our first visit! “Nice little hole in the wall! We got the fish and fries lunch special and coleslaw! Batter on fish was yummy, fish was juicy and flaky! Everything was delicious! Cole slaw is the bomb! Great prices and our waitress was very nice!”

“If you’re looking for a random spot with good fish stop here. A few things you should know; it’s not a very big place, on the weekends it’s probably the busiest, from what I could tell there is one waitress. So go in knowing it might take a little bit. For us it wasn’t a big deal. I got the 4 piece fish dinner which comes with a salad, roll, and choice of one side. The salad pictured is the house salad with their house dressing, I’m not sure how to explain their dressing but it was good! Fish was excellent way more than what I needed. I could have gotten away with ordering the 2 piece meal. I would recommend stopping in and giving it a try if you’re looking for a good fish dinner!”
