“This will be my go to place when I come back. Great rooms and the beds were very comfortable. We took advantage of the hot tub and the pool which were nice and clean. Staff was very nice and polite and the breakfast was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend. I realized I left my Apple Watch and charger in the room after we had checked out and immediately called the hotel and the girl who answered said she would walk down to the room and get it and have it at the front desk. Picked it up after the flea market and she had even plugged it in and had it charged for me. What service! 😊”

“Clean, comfortable, convenient, quiet, priced well, and a hot breakfast. The rooms have everything you need. We enjoyed our stay. Miss N did a great job preparing our room. This was our second stay here. We shall return again.”

“Internet was bad. Used all my data of internet there. But the place was beautiful. The horses were beautiful. Feeding them was fun.”

“Incredible experience. The host was phenomenal, friendly, attentive to our needs. Rhonda is very proud of her community and her home and it shows. Breakfast the next morning was filling but very healthy. Rhonda goes out of her way to provide a clean and unique environment. We stayed in the Beach Room. Well decorated and very cozy. Really enjoyed the meditative "clippity-clop" of the Amish people riding through.”

“Great location for adults. There is no playground equipment, so not very many children are running around. Easy access to Pigeon River for kayak and canoe trips. Great place to sit around a fire and visit with friends. Will be back again.”

“I have been with a group several times, and ALWAYS it is SO refreshing! I love falling asleep to the "clip-clop" of the horses pulling buggies, the fresh air and the lovely surroundings outside and inside. Sherry is a wonderful hostess! She loves antiques and puts them around very lovingly. I feel like I've gone back to another time and another place. We're just about to go again and stay in the newly renovated Guest House, and I'm very excited. The town is just two miles away, with all kinds of shops. My favorites are "Great Stuff" and several others.”

“Friendly, helpful staff greeted us. Our room was perfect. Clean, furnished nicely, good air/heating system. Located right at the edge of Shipshewana so it was close to everything. Breakfast each morning lasted until 10a.m. - good for those of us that like to sleep in. It was buffet style and also they took your orders for personal omelettes. Also had breakfast meats: bacon and sausage. Loved the make-it-yourself waffles. Syrup was warmed. Yummy. Fruit, eggs, all kinds of breakfast foods. At night you can sit around a campfire🔥. Very comfortable. Didn't visit the pool or exercise room. Checking out was easy and quick. Staff is soooo friendly.”

“Great location, especially if you're interested in the flea market and antique auction; you can walk there quite easily. Wonderful breakfast, hospitable hosts, and lovely cleaning lady (Miriam). The main house is nicely finished and modern, with all the amenities you could want. My room in the barn was chilly and dated, but served its purpose and was insulated from a lot of noise (fireworks, barking dogs). In all fairness, the hosts just took over and mentioned there were things that needed fixing/updating. I would stay here again.”

“We spent our anniversary at the Big House.... It was delightful. Quiet setting. David and Gail were both wonderful hosts. The breakfast was very, very good. (They even gave us recipes) The rooms were tasteful and spacious. The beds featured beautiful hand-made quilts. The Amish neighbors were very friendly and kind. We enjoyed a buggy ride. The showers were modern and clean. Nice snaks in the rooms. The countryside around the B and B is peaceful and calming. Great place to bike or walk or quietly read. Enjoyed the other guests.”

“Such a wonderful camp to visit and learn more about God. They provide a fun and safe atmosphere for kids and adults to grow and improve. So many great updates over the years with relaxing and private rooms for individuals or small groups during retreats and summer camps. Multiple room arrangements with fresh, clean bed linens provided (some rooms didn't have anyone staying in them when the pictures were taken, so fresh linens weren't on the beds yet). Great place to get away from the hustle of life and be refreshed!”

“Trading Post Outfitters is a little bit out of the way but on the recommendation of a friend we made the trek and it was definitely worth it. The staff is very helpful and all of the kayaks we had were in good working order. The facility is neat and orderly with clean bathrooms and lots of changing stalls. There are two kayaking options, we took the west section which leads away from the Trading Post. We plan to come back and do the east section as well. The river itself is beautiful, with a good current and the water is very clear. We saw lots of fish in it and a couple of otters as well.”

“If you need a restful beautiful place to stay with amazing food and wonderful host look no further. We loved our time at Highfield Manor, it was just what we needed. The host were kind, welcoming, and fun to visit with. The house was decorated beautifully and perfectly clean. The breakfast were over the top amazing and so much food you didn't need lunch. The gardens and land were gorgeous. Highly recommend staying here and we would love to do so again.”

“Marcia is the most gracious host/owner! When I asked about Amish neighbors she shared delightful insights. My room was perfect! I couldn’t imagine a better place to unwind and appreciate our amazing planet and we people who inhabit it. I want to come back & stay much longer.”

“Stayed here for a weekend, overall great experience. The other residents of the campgrounds all seemed friendly and sociable, making the grounds feel very homey and welcoming. Certain pets are also welcome. Several tiers of cabins are available to rent with varying amenities in each. There are also golf carts to rent out, and maps available, to make getting around the campgrounds much easier. At the north end of the grounds are around 20 acres of walking trails, a lot of which seemed to be filled with overgrown grass and other small plants, so exploration beyond the more obvious trails is highly encouraged to make the absolute most of them, but be sure to stay safe! There are also two options for swimming: an indoor heated pool with a sloped floor to provide different depths for easy family use, and a small portion of a lake. Additionally, outside of the swimming boundaries of the lake, small watercraft can be used, with some available for rental. Please review the campgrounds website, as there are further details on their policies regarding pets and firewood, among other things.”
