“Huge park to keep the kids and dogs entertained. There are smaller and larger kids areas with age appropriate slides and climbing equipment. Lots of seating areas in the shade to watch the kids. There is even a clubhouse with restrooms and a few pavilions with grills available for rent. On the other side of the clubhouse there are 8 new pickleball courts. Download the RideKC Bike app and enjoy a ride through the park”

“Grandkids current ages 3 through 8. It was hood to see a newer park planned with multiple ages in mind. I think more trees need to be planted on the western side of the play areas to provide more shade. Or, build a structure to provide shade. The playground structures heat up quickly, rendering them useless on nice sunny days.”

“Excellent shade. Plenty of community toys to play with. Creek was so refreshing to play with but beware of hornets. Great accessibility for younger toddlers. You might want to bring a change of clothes.”

“Love this park and the new equipment! There's also an area with various tree stumps and bridges for the kids to balance and play. A paved trail wraps around a large field. Everyone is always very friendly. This park tends to have a lot of dogs visiting as well, everyone is great keeping pets on leashes. Some people obviously aren't picking up after their larger dogs, that's a bummer! Dog bags are provided. It'd be great to see some type of structure added on the future for restrooms. My kids (for good reason) refuse to use the porter potty. This park is handicap accessible from the parking lot and sidewalks.”

“A great neighborhood park. There is a new climbing structure with ropes, merry-go-round, swings, tire swing, logs to climb on, paved trail, a field, tennis courts, basketball hoop, and a trail created by kids behind the East like of trees. Morning and afternoon/evening are the best times for the playground as the trees will give kids shade. Benches for adults can be found in shade all day.”

“Great small park for younger children. The tennis court was recently refinished and is marked for tennis and pickle ball.”

“This is a tiny park in Prairie Village. It is nice and pleasant and well shaded. The perfect use for this park would be to have a picnic or to read a book and get some fresh air while on a lunch break. I often see contractors or landscapers taking there lunch break here. The gas station across the street has a microwave, and as I mentioned Brenizer Park is well shaded.”
