“We used Jan at the Milam House for my sisters wedding. First, Jan was amazing to work with! She was attentive and responsive, not to mention extremely talented! The floral arrangements were STUNNING!!!! I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen such beautiful colors and bouquets! We had many compliments from guests saying the same thing. The prices were reasonable and we were more than satisfied. I am attaching some photos of the flowers. These are not at the venue and a few days after the wedding still looking amazing! “Lots of what they have. No furniture, limited kitchen supplies, BUT a lot of men's, women's, and children's clothes, an impressive amount of wall art. They also have scrubs (medical uniforms) upstairs. Be sure to look at their Book Nook upstairs. Comfortable reading area, really I'd be willing to make a donation to get a cup of coffee and sit and read for a couple of hours. Tucked by warehouses and a storage facility behind Kroger across from Save-a-Lot. Near Commerce Rd.”

My family has been homeless for over a year now and these people and this place make us feel as at home as we can right now. The rooms are large, clean, and the views of the foothills from the upper floors especially can't be beat. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for safe, clean, friendly accomodations in the area.”

“Took the Pumpkin Patch train ride which runs down to the Kentucky River. You can disembark to view the bridge, canyon, and scenery. Then the train takes you to the Pumpkin patch where there are picture areas, apple cider, and you get to pick your Pumpkin (for a fee). There are 3 options for riding, coach, first class, or hobo style. Took the first class (hobo was sold out) which was nice with comfy seats and A/C. Nice 2 hour trip seeing Kentucky countryside with cows, horses, and farm fields. Found the ride relaxing. First class was $22 for adults and definitely worth doing at least once. There is a railroad museum to tour. Did not see that section, this time.”

“The entire experience was beyond enjoyable for me and my wife on our anniversary. Pam (the owner/ operator) was so sweet and she set the tone for the experience. The room was delightful/ just what we needed to unwind. My wife especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. Breakfast in the dining ‘car’ was an absolute delight. We will definitely do this again. Maybe next time we will experience a different themed room (we stayed in the London Room this time). Best anniversary ever!”
