“Honestly, this place should have been worse according to the price. Besides the entire property having very little lighting, the entire stay was good. The breakfast consisted of hot coffee. “Idk about other folks, but we have had terrible luck with hotels for about the last year, despite reading reviews and choosing Hilton and Marriott properties. This Hampton in Covington was very refreshing! The common areas and our room were quite clean. Know how you close the bathroom door and there is always hair on the floor? Not here!! I was worried because there were some reviews to the contrary. This was the first time in a while someone has acknowledged that I’m an Honors member and offered refreshments (thanks!). The only reason I’m not giving a 5 is because our mattresses were super hard. My husband and I tossed and turned all night and woke up with back aches, and even my 19yo said his was really uncomfortable (after sleeping in a dorm bed for 2 semesters). Other than the sleep quality, this was the best hotel I’ve checked into in at least a year.”

“There were lights missing bulbs, I got locked outta my room for like 2-3hours, and let’s just say that I saw some real characters during my stay. But it was exactly what I needed at the time. Sooo yeah. Got what I needed and wanted without any questions… bring a fan though, cuz they don’t have ceiling fans.(I can’t sleep without one and for the first 2 nights I slept horribly.)”

“Great Stay! I had a terrible experience at quality inn down the road and this room was able to accommodate me and take us in on short notice. The rooms were clean, house keeping gave us plenty of towels and they provide soap, body wash etc. These rooms also has full refrigerators as well. The owner even gave us a hug when we left and thanked us for out stay. I would definitely go back if I’m in New Orleans.”

“Stayed here several times now and it's always been good. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Parking may seem full, but you can park at the other hotel in front, or at the adjacent Denny's (make sure that's still OK when you check in). 12 pm checkout is nice, and on the weekends (at least) the breakfast is available until 10:30 which is nice for late-sleepers like me. David at the front desk is friendly and efficient. Lots of good restaurants nearby, include at least three sushi restaurants!”

“My husband and I traveled to New Roads for a fishing tournament. We booked our room a few weeks prior. The entire experience was wonderful, from start to finish! The room was impressively clean and smelled wonderful. It was the perfect size for the two of us. The courtyard is beautiful and the location is hard to beat! The public boat launch and numerous businesses within walking distance, including Morel’s restaurant, was a huge bonus! We were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend Morel’s ❤️”
