Woodlands Conservancy’s Woodlands Trail

Address: 449 F Edward Hebert Blvd, Belle Chasse, LA 70037, USA

Park

“As a Cypress tree lover, this trail was amazing. All the different formations they made. Saw wildlife , 5 armadillos, 1 solamander, butterflies, squirrels, and 1 large boar. The trail is moderate as it has roots and cypress knees everywhere, there is a geocache route or whatever it's called and a few more. The bunkers were nice to see. The signs and information boards were very interesting. Bring lots of water and some snacks if you explore like I do. Overall a great hike.”

Coquille Great Lawn

Address: 13505 LA-1085, Covington, LA 70433, USA

Park

“I love Coquille Park. I only visit for my kids soccer games but, the fields are always in great shape and there is usually plenty of parking. Although, sometimes you may have to walk a little. The only thing they could do to improve would be to pave the roads, but that's just me being picky.”

MarshOnTheFly

Address: 34 Crane St, New Orleans, LA 70124, USA

Park

“Marsh On The Fly has my highest recommendation. I fished with Captain Peter for 4 days over a few weeks. I had so much fun, I'm having difficulty describing it. I already booked 5 days next year. He's a blast to hang out with and works extremely hard to find the fish and give you the best opportunities. We landed a ton to the boat! His patience and enthusiasm are noteworthy...especially when my casting was not up to par. When I hooked into big Redfish, he's calm, but excited and gives expert advice. I really appreciated the banter on the boat, the joking around, and some of our conversations as it made the days I spent with him that much more enjoyable. His equipment is immaculate, his boat is clean and comfortable (bran-new), and his knowledge of the fishery is amazing. I can't wait for next year!”

Rv park Campground Park Lodging

“We stayed here for about 3 months and LOVED every minute of it! It was so peaceful and quiet. The staff was so friendly and amazing that I truly enjoyed talking to them inside of the restaurant. We did try the restaurant and being a native of the area, the food would have been better if it hadn’t been frozen but was still enjoyable. The workers and owner spent everyday we were there working to make the park even more beautiful! The pool area was always kept up and had a beautiful display of flowers all around to make you feel right at home. Definitely stop by and check them out!”

“This park was just redone and they did a fantastic job! Plenty for the littles to do as there is for big kids. As always... wish there was more shade... Especially this summer🥵. But there are lots of areas with trees on the edges of the park. Still has the tennis courts and exercise path/loop.”

Cedar Hill Nursery LLC

Address: 82237 LA-1129, Covington, LA 70435, USA

Park Store

“Beautiful, well maintained, organized , huge , pretty nursery. Plants and trees are fresh , healthy, and well managed. I shopped and visited nurseries all over the North shore and Cedar Hill, by far, beat all of the other nurseries by quality of their inventory, quantity, organization, and especially price. The owner Angie Leblanc, lives on the property and showed me ideas of plants that I never thought of for my landscaping. I had her undivided attention walking me through an acre of her inventory, answering all of questions and helping me pick out the best plants and trees. Unlike other nurseries where you have to hunt down help to ask questions and then they hurry off to help one of the other 100 hundred people there. If you want to take your time, walk around and have personal service for your purchases... CEDAR HILL IS THE NURSERY TO GO TO! Jackie B”

Cajun Creek Ranch

Address: 7116 Kilcrease Ln, Clinton, LA 70722, USA

Park

“Lost out on hunting out of state this year do to my medical condition and surgery complications. Booked a hunt with Cajun Creek Ranch with Logan with my Dad. We had the best experience. Memories we will always cherish. The BEST food and the best people. I was able to harvest a massive buck. They also have other animal species available to hunt. All beautiful animals and when guided you’ll be on them. The prettiest land with a relaxing ranch atmosphere. Nothing like waking to the best breakfast and then having the best dinners. They’ll accommodate anything and go above and beyond. Disability friendly too. Also, ponds fully stocked with fish. A Family atmosphere. Definitely something everyone who loves the Outdoors should experience and highly recommend. Everything about this place love and my Dad does too. We will be coming back. Thank y’all Cajun Creek and Logan!! Thankful!!”

Sidney Hutchinson Park

Address: 13750 Ball Park Rd, Walker, LA 70785, USA

Park

“Very nice park with good walking/running trails, big fields for sport events, a lake for fishing and 2 different parks for kids to play on. On Saturday mornings there's a farmers market as well. I'm not in love with all the geese hanging around, as they poop all over the trails, but overall a great place.”

Parks Recreation District 3 ( South Park )

Address: 7510 Vincent Rd, Denham Springs, LA 70726, USA

Park

“We travel the country full-time in a RV. We were staying in the KOA that is walking distance from this park. We really enjoyed bringing our dog to the fenced dog parks to let her run and chase squirrels. We also ran on the paved road for exercise. It gets quite soggy after a rain. The kid playground is well kept. The basketball courts no longer have hoops, just poles. The tennis courts are in sad shape. The picnic shelters are well kept. There was a guy flying a model airplane in the field one day!”

Indian Bayou Trail

Address: Par Rd 3-95, Krotz Springs, LA 70750, USA

Park

“Nice out of the way area and as others have mentioned the trail heads could be marked better. Crossed a wooden bridge and ended up on some kind of service road. Went back to the ranger station area and found a little pier over hanging the water. If you follow the entrance road straight ahead a bit and you'll see the sign for Alligator Trailhead. 1/4 mile in it splits into a loop. Full trail is about 1.5 miles. Lots of bugs and mosquitos so be prepared for those. Saw some turtles on their logs. Sign mentions alligators, copperhead and water moccasins in the area but didn't see any of them on my visit.”
