“I have only recently become a patient with Brett! We met when I became sick with Covid and first by virtual online! He showed great care and concerns as I battled through it, taking every opportunity to follow up with every concern I had! Recently I was able to have him do my yearly physical and met him in person! What I noticed again was his gentle and kind demeanor while addressing any and all concerns! I'm not the best patient and have had to deal with various conditions that I wish had never had to deal with, as anyone would feel that way , So I pretty much hit him with multiple questions and concerns as I had not been seen for a regular office visit in awhile! One thing I appreciated is that he looked at me and was not typing on a computer screen during my visit! It felt much better to know he was listening and even if I was asking alot of questions he remained focused and patient and never judgemental with me ! “Dr. Kommineni is excellent. She is always on time. You actually get to see her when you go, instead of a nurse practitioner. My previous Dr. was great, but I only saw her during my physical as she had too many patients. Hopefully Dr. Kommenini does not get to that point. She really listened to my concerns. She has done tests for me that other Dr.’s refused to do. Luckily the tests came back negative so it put my mind at ease. I think that’s why she agreed to do the tests. She was also ok with trying supplements instead of just prescribing a medication, which I liked as well.”

“This is a very special place. I will assume anyone reading this already understands the benefits of BJJ for both self-defense and character building. If you end up training here, the quality and style of BJJ is backed by authentic lineage from a very accomplished Professor and coaches. All the kids, parents, coaches, and adults are always smiling. Here, they teach and practice compassion, positivity, and peaceful resolution to conflict. This is vital, especially for kids, when learning such a lethal skill. I have been to tournaments with my daughter and watched coaches from other schools promote violence and the importance of winning at all costs and felt very sorry for those kids, and thankful we ended up here. Ironically at these tournaments our kids and adults are some of the most accomplished. By a stroke of luck I brought my then 10yr old daughter here 2yrs ago to learn self-defense and confidence, and we got so much more. It has transformed her life inside and outside of the gym and we became part of an incredible community that has positively impacted our family in many ways. Although we are one of the very few non-Brazilians here, we feel like family, and we're grateful to be a part of the legacy of this school.”
