“Lovely little park for throwing frisbee with kids in summer and sledding in winter. Many a story can be invented under the very large spreading tree.”

“This is a great park for crawlers-no mulch! It's also accessible to wheel chairs, although there isn't play facilities, just an accessible picnic table and ramp up. It's well shaded, even around noontime. Away from fast traffic. Love it!”

“This is a little gem of a place that my wife and I happened to discover on our Google Map as we explored back streets of Chestnut Hill (Newton MA). Quite small, and just a remnant of what it used to be 100 years ago, but nevertheless well worth a quiet stroll in various seasons to see the foliage change. Like my wife said, "precious."”

“A nice little gem tucked along the Charles River between Auburndale and Waltham. The Auburndale Cove area is nice, always seems to be busy and full of kids, and the walking/running trail takes you all the way into Waltham with lovely views of the river and some of the buildings of Brandeis. Keep heading along the river and you end up at Moody Street after running alongside the old Watch Factory and the train tracks... and you can then connect with the trails that take you all the way downtown.”

“Great place for dogs to run around. Not sure if it's allowed but it's great to let them roam off leash. The dog people are great at this park. Keep your dog close and on leash around playgrounds. Helicopter parents get a little crazy if your friendly dog even approaches their precious little spawn. Other than that great place.”

“5 stars for Gath, but search for "Harry Gath Memorial Pool" or "Newton Public Pool." This listing is outdated/incorrect (e.g. pool hours). I think this is an error of technology/Google rather than Gath. The other entry for this pool is more accurate. I suggested this in an edit, but don't know if Google will make the change. ”

“Viewed 4th of July fireworks here the past two years. They have food and gift vendors and a carnival with a bunch of classic rides and games. Any other day, parking is probably no problem, however on the 4th, don't plan on getting out on a hurry. We'll try biking next time.”

“Small trail system connected to F.A. Day Middle School and Albemarle Field. A good cut through for those jonesing for a little nature while on a neighborhood walk. If you are looking for more nature, I suggest taking Albemarle Rd in a northerly direction towards the river. There is a bike and walking path that runs the whole river that is beautiful as well.”

“Small park with variety of options for easy to intermediate trails”

“This small but mighty museum was a great stop on our Boston visit. We were welcomed immediately and our questions were answered. The set up and displays are great. Things to look at, touch, play with, and listen to. Even as adults we enjoyed the children's room. We we're fortunate to have the place to ourselves. Great for all ages. Our college age kids enjoyed too. Grounds were inaccessible in March but I'm sure they are beautiful in summer.”

“A treasure in Newton. Great geology, nice trails, and quite vast for being in the city. Nice place to take an afternoon walk if you don't want to drive all the way out to Central Mass.”

“This is a vernal pool, meaning it only has water in the winter and spring. There are several hiking trails totaling maybe 4 or 5 miles in the area, but also plenty of space to explore if you're up for it! This is my favorite place to hang out if I want some nature time. ”

“Lovely spot for a quick nature hike. Cool sculpture still in the park area.”
