“This Place is Excellent and accommodating to suite all your dog training and bird hunting needs in southern Michigan. Easy to get to off the I-94 corridor. Bill is great to work with and knows how to make the training fun for you and your dog! I have been coming here for just over a year now and he really knows his stuff. I would recommend this to anyone who is just getting started or even to long time bird hunters! Happy Hunting!”

“Camping: If there is a trailer Dump station, I didn't find it, that is the only thing keeping this from a 5 star review. No cell service. Some of the electrical boxes are 50+/- feet from where you would park your camper or set up the tent. I was able to reserve a spot on Saturday night, a couple days out. But the campground was full when we arrived. There is solid greenery between most sites, but many Inner loop sites back to each other, ones on 26-50 inner loop are best for groups. The sites are good sized. No bad spots, just spots for different needs. The whole lake is "no wake", people seemed to be respecting the rule.”

“I love this park, especially the dog park in the back! Plenty of parking with well kept grounds and walkways to the pavillion and play structures. There is also a lovely field between the structures and the dog park in the back, large enough for plenty of soccer games or running around. Then the dog park in the back has some shade, nice seating, and one side of the fence open to the river so the dogs can swim out and cool down. We love it there, the patrons are always friendly, and its worth the drive!”

“Great little park to hike in, cool gravel pit area. lots of pine trees. Just watch out for the homeless some of them have become feral again an are quite afraid of humans. Please DO NOT feed them as they become dependent on this an will remain wild.”

“Have lived in the area for ages but this was my first visit inside Cranbrook House. We did a self guided tour but there were docents in every room to answer questions and give a little history on the family and the decor. The details in the wood carvings, the high end materials used in construction, and the influence of the artisans that were commissioned to create the decor pieces left us in awe. The gardens are amazing. The Japanese garden was magical. Take the time to discover all the grounds but wear comfortable shoes as you will definitely get your steps in as you wander the trails. Absolutely will be going back soon!”

“It's a park. The grass is kept up pretty well most of the time and the playground can distract the kids for a bit. Could use a lot more seating and another gazebo. Lots of grass....”

“Back nine tree lined with beautiful pond protecting fairway on right of hole 10. Front nine more forgiving with open fairways. Greens in tip top shape. Sand traps need some work.”

“Very lovely park with a great boat or kayak launch ramp that goes right into the water! Nice place to enjoy the waterfront views and the water. Most guests are pretty chill and are enjoying the water in a friendly, safe way on kayaks, canoes, small to medium sized power boats, and jet skis and most people avoid making big waves.”

“It was wonderful. A large open expanse of rolling grass, children playing gently with parents and grandparents. Good playground equipment, a basketball court, comfy pavilion, and a skateboard park with a fence all around. Everyone welcome here.”

“We had a great time at the Park! 2 broken parts on the play set we noticed. The phones and one of the rope climb/parts. And we didn’t find the last item in the nature hunt list. Wondering if it’s missing or broken. (PawPrint) The swings were too low for our 9year old. Her feet scraped every swing backwards… overall nice park. Not sure if the restrooms are open all the time. Monday at 2ish??”

“Good nature area amidst suburbia. Half a mile-ish fully paved, wide walking trail good for wheelchairs, strollers, bikes, roller skates/blades, etc surrounding the marshlands and reservoir. Newly paved basketball courts (2022 I believe) and a playground that's best for a little older kids (late elementary) but still fun for littler kids. Picnic tables throughout but no built-in grills. Cool disc golf course hidden amongst the trees and meadows. Lots of smaller trails connecting to surrounding neighborhoods which is my favorite part.”

“This is our go to beach with our kids (ages 9y and 7y). They always keep the swimming area and beach nice and clean, plus they have multiple areas and depths marked off for swimmers of all ages to enjoy. They have lifeguards on duty, but you are not allowed to bring any flotation devices. There is a play area and park near the beach, changing areas, bathrooms, rinse off showers, walking path and trails, as well as a place to buy food/ice cream. If you are not a member or resident of the area, there is a cost to enter the park. They also only allow dogs into the park on their off season.”

“Wonderful place... make sure u have your OLD hiking boots or your worst pair of gym shoes. You WILL get muddy if there's been rain. There are well-marked trails, but they are rustic & unimproved. I wouldn't call this place "accessible" or stroller friendly. We had a great time in the morning beating the weather that came that afternoon.”

“Nice pavilion, bordered by a river in a city park. There are restrooms nearby but no electricity. I've never experienced problems with bugs, but I have had issues with bees (or hornets) swarming around food. There's a nice lawn on one side of the pavilion and a walking path through the park that passes between the river and the other side. There are picnic tables inside the pavilion and charcoal grills off to the side.”

“This was the first time we hiked in this preserve but we will definitely return. It's about a half an hour from Ann Arbor with a pretty drive through farmland and by Pleasant Lake. The preserve is very hilly with several trails through the woods. The trails were mostly snow covered but not icy today. At several places there were lovely vistas with views of the valley and opposite hillsides.”
