“Beautiful, peaceful, and great place to get your steps in. The kids loved all the bridges and the paths leading to Heritage Park. We definitely will be revisiting sometime in the near future.. Make sure to bring some bug spray.”

“This is a nice little park. It's kept up pretty well and it's a nice escape from the city. When everything is in full growth, you can't see the road or surrounding buildings. It also has some interesting (marked) native plants and the trails run out to Dicken School, Maple Road and a nearby neighborhood. I give four starts because it is quite small (you can circle the whole thing in under 10 mins), and you can still hear all the city/highway traffic. Overall, a nice place to walk your dog or enjoy some scenery without having to go too far out of your way.”

“Bicentennial park is the real gem! It has nature trails, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, fitness areas, playgrounds and so much more. I can say for the last 20 years Livonia has always done their job to maintain this park in every way! It is always clean and the residents of Livonia truly appreciate it ❤️”

“I took my mountain bike here, great flowing meadows, decent trails and some dirt paths in the woods, quiet and extends pretty far west connecting to another park preserve. Not very well marked, but use gps and there are better maps at the Koch preserve entrance.”

“This is just a neighborhood park with a children's play area (jungle gym, slides, swings, etc). And plenty of grass to throw a ball or a frisbee. You can see the river across the street, and have a nice cookout.”

“So awesome, so many options to choose from, good food that wasn't too pricey. I didn't realize they opened at 11 so we had to wait to get in. The bathrooms were nice and well kept. I appreciate them asking parents not to have opposite sex kids over a certain age since women and girls are changing in there. They have family changing rooms for that which is nice.”

“A nice park in Detroit, great for outdoor activities and some light gatherings. Make sure to scope it out before you plan something, though!”
Address: Allen Park, MI 48101, USA
“It's a decently sized, open park conveniently located across the street from a local grocery store and ice cream parlor to easily stock up on summer favorites for planned or impromptu barebue ideas. If you have any hobby aircraft, RC trucks, or need a nice open space to launch fireworks, this is a great park to use. There's plenty of parking space for a large gathering of family and friends, and the area itself is pretty quiet/lowkey. There's usually at least 1 portapotty here, which I thought was pretty convenient considering most of the parks I've been to don't have places to use the restroom unless they're major parks (think Belle Isle in Detroit). There is also a covered area with a few picnic tables.”
Address: 3191 Clarkston Rd, Lake Orion, MI 48360, USA
“This is a fantastic walk especially for little ones who can't handle the miles and miles of trails at other places. Probably goes without being said but not ideal for strollers. There is so much to see and wildlife is all around. While we were there we saw mushrooms, bugs, foliage, trees, structures built by animals and of course some wildlife. Bring bug spray, and a water bottle. Don't forget to stop and read the markers along the way and take a picture by the Moose Tree!”

“Miller Woods is a beautiful little spot that I have very fond memories of from my childhood. Good year round for a short nature walk, but the absolute best time is in Autumn. Be sure to check it out when the trees are at peak color! It's very small, so no need to put on your hiking boots or pack any gear. Good spot to meditate in nature, learn about forests, or take pictures of birds and other woodland creatures. "Take only pictures, leave only footprints."”

“Nice trail. Kinda muddy in the spring. Plenty of parking. Runs along Letts Creek for a bit with a great view of Goose Lake. The sign says they do not allow dogs. There are a lot of hunting blinds scattered about the preserve so be prepared for that during hunting season.”

“Very lovely nature area. There are a couple different loops you can walk, all in a forested area. I would go back again for sure. There are a couple private paths that lead off the main loop to private property, but the trail is well marked and there is a map at the trail head.”

“The north side of this park has one of the tallest trees in the state of Michigan - A Tuliptree / Yellow Poplar that is 140’ tall. Absolutely huge to see up close! Its approximately at 42.56880° N, 83.48095° W”

“The 2 nature trails found in the area are both excellent. The orange trail is only about .25 miles and is a crushed stone path with boardwalks over the water. The green trail is over 2 miles and is a dirt path. The trails are open dawn to dusk. The visitor center is open Thursday through Sunday 10 to 4.”

“We have been in the past to a lot of campgrounds when my kids were little mostly staying in cabins. We just purchased a camper for just us. Our kids are grown. I pulled it there myself for the first time. I was so nervous about setting it up without my husband that he was coming after work. When I got there, I have to say they were the most friendliest people They lead me back to my site and set the camper up for me. I was so relieved. I will definitely go there alot.”
