Freedom Park

Address: 7GRC+GQC, 44705 Palmer Rd, Canton, MI 48188, USA

Park

“A beautiful and impressive park. I was visiting from Ohio and went there to play disc golf. I didn't see everything, but I saw soccer fields, play grounds, basketball courts, picnic spots, and an enclosed pickle ball area with at least six courts. The disc course only had nine holes, but it was very fun and there is hidden back nine. The holes were short but challenging. Nice big concrete tee pads. We met some Freedom Freaks who were 420 friendly. This Park has poor drainage, so it stays wet a long time. Take your bug spray.”

The Burgh Historical Park

Address: 26080 Berg Rd, Southfield, MI 48033, USA

“We love coming here. We've done wedding, engagment and all types of photography in this beautiful little park. Sometimes it's just nice to sit quietly enjoying the fountain and the birds.”

Inwood Hiking Trails

Address: Inwood Trails Dr, Washington, MI 48095, USA

“It's a beautiful trail, of what we could walk. A large portion was temp. closed for wildlife. Our dogs had a blast and was tired by the end of the trail. We ended up picking off 5 ticks on the way home, so just be careful.”

Glen Eden Memorial Park

Address: 35667 Eight Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152, USA

Cemetery Park

“As you can see in my photo's, the ground is soft at this cemetery and sinks many stones below the thick grass surface. The caretakers mows and weed-wacks the area regularly, but lately more and more dead spots and weeds are showing up. The hours are fair, but limited. I think Sunday's are reserved for burials and private ceremony's though. As of 30 years ago, you could buy an affordable plot here, once. But there's probably a good chance it is full now or they require monthly payments for life.”

Chesterfield Nature Preserve

Address: 46000 Sugarbush Rd, New Baltimore, MI 48047, USA

Park

Kiwanis Tot Lot

Address: 1363 Cambridge Rd, Berkley, MI 48072, USA

Park

“They call it a tot lot(1-3), but it is not, a lot of the stuff is geared for 4+. Play equipment is ok for some tots, but better suited for young children 4-5+. The climbing wall is fun for 1.5+, the slides are a little advanced for tots, need close supervision. They have a fun bouncy car to drive. And a few swings on the other side of the park. Well used by all the kids. Nice to see Berkley upgrading the park this year, but they missed the skill set for Toddlers if the way to keep the park name Tot Lot.”

Barchester Park

Address: 43021 Barchester Rd, Canton, MI 48187, USA

“A spacious park. Nice playscape for children. Trails, both paved and natural, are suitable for walking, jogging and biking. Nice spot for a picnic and kite flying.”

Marv Gans Community Park East Entrance

Address: Unnamed Road, Township of Northville, MI 48168, USA

“This is a great park with playground, facilities and a whole bunch of soccer fields. Biggest strug bus is that the fields always seem to be wet. After every game chasing around a bunch of six years, I look like I just did a tough mudder.”

“Great park! Ever since I was little, I've always liked coming here. So much has changed over the years. They have a top notch playground on the west side. We were here for the River Raisin Festival and had a great time. There was not much along the lines of litter on the ground. The grounds crew were on top of it. It was also nice that the river hadn't flooded recently, so all of the grassy areas were nice and dry. When the crowds aren't around, it's a good place to catch catfish and the occasional small mouth bass. Great park experience no matter of it's for the Festival, playground, fishing, or just wanting a scenic place to go and relax.”
